Meet Haley Reynolds | Cosmetic Business Owner & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Haley Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haley, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
In the beauty industry the competitive rate is very high. There are a lot of business with the same products, but each business has that certain something that sets them apart from other businesses. As a business owner in this industry it is important that I create products that stand out so that I too can compete in this industry.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Betty’s Beauty Cosmetics LLC is a natural skin and body care line. The name was inspired by deceased grandmother who I wanted to give tribute to. I started Betty’s Beauty in 2020 during the pandemic lockdown, I really had time to sit and plan out what I wanted my business to look like. All products are handmade and consist of natural ingredients. Products range from Body butters to Men’s beard oils. Starting my business was very challenging, I started out with little to no sales but over the years I have witnessed a tremendous boost in sales. I have learned along the way that not every thing goes as planned and as a business owner it is important to adapt to those changes and be very flexible. I want those out there that are thinking about starting a business to go ahead and put that plan together and start that business. It may not always be easy but it is amazing watching what you created come to life and grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I haven’t explored all of Atlanta yet but I have been to some great places. For those that know me, know I absolutely love to take pictures. The selfie museum, located in Lenox Mall is a great place to get dressed up and go take some bomb photos. They have different rooms to choose from, and they all have different themes. I would suggest going with a group of friends so that you have someone to take your pictures for you. My favorite food spot is Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, If you love philly’s and wings then this is the place to be!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I want to thank God for giving me the wisdom and vision to start this business and carry out. To my parents I love you all and thank you for your endless love and support. To my friends and family the support you all have shown me I am forever grateful. And to Tyson, you have pushed me to be greater than I could have imagined, thank you for your love and support. I love you all!
