We had the good fortune of connecting with Hadrat Faatimah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hadrat, how do you define success?
Wow, that’s a good one! How do I define success??

I define success by how proud I am when I look at myself in the mirror and self-reflect.

I definitely feel that if you’re not satisfied with the person you see in the mirror you haven’t made it to the satisfactory level of success for yourself. And that goes for every part of your life mentally, physically, emotionally, relationally, and financially.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The biggest thing that I’ve learned in business is that you have to go with what you know, stay consistent, and the things that you don’t know you have to just do your research and allow GOD to take care of the rest.

As far as it being easy OF COURSE IT HASN’T BEEN EASY.

Has it been worth it??…

Yes, absolutely!! One thing you can’t trade is what you love to do to just work a regular job and give up on your dreams because at the end of the day your passion will always be like a flame constantly burning on the inside of you needing to be released.

I want the world to know that I literally started from the bottom with just a creative mind and gift for fashion with no money as a single mother with 2 kids, so if I can do ANYBODY can 💯 All it takes is hard work, consistency, and dedication.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wellllllllll to be honestly I really don’t like to do anything but eat, lol.

No, but seriously I would probably take them to the best wing spot in the city “Da Sauce Wings & Things” owned by Latrice Thomas. And I’ll have to order them that “10 piece all flats crispy, cajun (wet), season fries w/blue cheese.”

Tell them I sent you now, Lol.

After that I would probably take them to listen to some smooth good live music at the “Sugar Shack” and after end the night at a rooftop downtown to watch the sunset.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
You know something I can’t thank nobody but GOD honestly. Am I saying that I don’t have people around me that has been there for me OF COURSE NOT, however I’m talking about on my low days when I didn’t even know how I was going to make it GOD pulled me up and brought me out.

So many times I’ve wanted to give up on myself, but GOD saw different and he loved me and showed me mercy even in-spite of me.

Every accomplishment, every achievement, every fashion show, every satisfied client, every booked day I can’t shout-out nobody but GOD, I truly owe ALL THE GLORY TO ELOHIM.
