We had the good fortune of connecting with Gwendolyn Knighton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gwendolyn, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
My decision to pursue life coaching and disregard the urge to give up was influenced by the women who sought my guidance. My heart remained dedicated to providing sound advice and support, despite occasional exhaustion. I encourage individuals to pursue their passions by listening to their heart, not emotions. When you have a genuine love for something, it will continue to drive you towards success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Gwendolyn’s Restoration Life Coaching was founded in July 2022, specializing in leadership and women development as a certified life coach. I help women discover their inner strength, overcome fears, and break through perceived barriers.

No, the road hasn’t always been smooth. There were some bumps and curves along the way. Some of the struggle along the way have been challenging learning how to navigate uncharted territory. Re-programming my mind was the biggest challenge.

My unique approach involves meeting women at their individualized junctures, free from judgment, and fostering a safe space for vulnerability, allowing them to open up about issues they may have kept hidden.This distinctive methodology sets me apart.

With a sense of pride, I now have the chance to help women reclaim their identities and feel less alone as they navigate through life’s challenges. By drawing upon my personal journey towards finding purpose and breaking away from various forms of fear, I hope to make an impactful difference for another woman looking for guidance.

My future plans are to continue to provide a service of excellence to every woman who chooses Gwendolyn’s Restoration Life Coaching and to empower women to embrace who they are flaws and all. There will be women empowerment and leadership seminars coming soon.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friends know me well. I would definitely spend quality time with them and catch up on things going on in their lives. Preparing certain meals for them at my home while they are here makes them feel more like family. Mostly we would decide on the day-to-day bases on what they would like to do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success as a certified life coach and in other areas of my life can be attributed to the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Yolanda Payne. Her steadfast support and expertise have instilled in me the strength and confidence to pursue my dreams and overcome hurdles. My biological mother’s encouragement and belief in me have also been a significant motivating factor in my journey.
