We had the good fortune of connecting with Gustavo Escalona and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gustavo, what do you want your legacy to be?
“In the words of John Maxwell, ‘You get fulfillment and purpose in helping others. You unlock your full potential when you serve others.’ Simply by adding value to people, contributing, with a word, an action, a moment that can positively impact their lives. I would like To be remembered as someone who loved and was loved.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always been driven by a passion for art, for visuals, for the creative side, and that desire led me to start my own path.

I was raised in a home filled with a lot of love, motivated by a supreme love that, from the moment I encountered it, I knew I was marked and made different, that I had a purpose, and that it was a matter of mine to bring it to the world and create a positive impact.

Starting this was a big leap for me, and along the way, there were many challenges. Worries, anxieties, doubts, fear. I am grateful to have people I admire who have motivated me and contributed a lot to my life. I still face many more challenges, but I trust that I have what it takes to face whatever comes.

What makes me different is creating and communicating something that transcends beyond just taking a photograph. It’s about generating emotions, creating memories, and perhaps leaving a mark that will go with them throughout their lives, even from a brief moment in a person’s life.

I believe taking risk it’s absolutely necessary in life. Life is about decisions, some easier than others. You decide to go train even when you don’t feel like it, you decide to eat healthily just because it’s better for your body. But sometimes there are decisions that are not as easy and go much deeper, they take you out of your comfort zone and shake up your life. Change brings discomfort, but it’s entirely necessary for growth.”
