We had the good fortune of connecting with Goodie Supreme and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Goodie, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Never stop dreaming and wanting more out of life. It’s ok if everyone doesn’t see your vision, as long as you stick to your core principles everything will work out fine. People are going judge you for everything you do, so why not let them judge you for something you love and believe in.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was introduced to music by Pops. He played bass guitar in a local band. He would play Jimmy Hendrix, Cameo, Prince, just a list of greats by ear. That inspired me to want to do something with music. But that wouldn’t materialize and be taken seriously until I met my homie D.Cater. He refused to let me quit.

The hardest challenge musically I’ve felt was when D.Cater passed. Being that he was the person that kept me going when I wanted to quit. So I was definitely in the mind frame of stopping.. and also losing my older brother 9 months later who was also a big supporter of me. It was hard. But me quitting wouldn’t honor them in any kind of a way.

Me giving my dream the love it deserves is what brought me out of that. Which is how I came up with the brand name “Dreams Need Love Too”. Never stop giving it the love it deserves. In return your dream will love you back.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Truthfully, I can pretty much have a good time anywhere as long as the crew with me.

Monday- kick it at Reboot Arcade.. Probably hit Cashman’s or JBA something light, not too much.

Tuesday- Swing through Amici if the weathers right, hit that rooftop for some drinks and food.

Wednesday- swing through Serenity for some rnb vibes. Macon Water Ice for some food.

Thursday- swing through Vibes for the vibes.

Friday- Downtown bar hopping. Walking the strip. Swing by 430, Niche or, Daiquiris and more.

Saturday.. we kicking it at the crib with my ppl. On the grill, having some drinks, debating and telling lies.. lol!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Darryl Cater aka D.Cater (deceased as of 2018). Without his motivation and belief in the music, there’s a chance I’d quit along time ago.
