We had the good fortune of connecting with Givenchy Royal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Givenchy, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I wanted to be the liaison between independent record labels and accounting agencies. I ended up deciding to create my own record label.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was a recording artist for years but ultimately fell in love with being a songwriter for others. Once I got into artist management and putting my songs on my artists, it open doors that led to me becoming a label owner.

Funny thing is, I never wanted to be a label owner. It was just a natural progression.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well first off they need to eat at Cuts or STK. And I guess it depends on what you like. If I’m not in the the studio I’m on the golf course so I don’t frequent the “hot spot” in Atlanta. I work…a lot.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to Label Runners, LLC and Black Season, LLC
