We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Nash and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gina, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
One of the most important lessons I have learned is to never stop learning. I have learned some incredible lessons over these last 20 years, not just on how to develop a business, but lessons on how to be the best person I can be while serving my community.

When I first started, I was determined to build a business strong enough to serve my family for generations to come. During the building process I realized that there are a plethora of opportunities and options available in the real estate industry. I also learned that there are a number of experts doing business at all different levels.

I remember chatting with a business mentor of mine when I first began, and his major words of advice were, “you can’t grow your business if you’re in your business.” After I heard that I immediately got to work; finding the experts, networking with other professionals, reading the articles, and watching the legends in action.

By expanding my knowledge, I have had the opportunity to learn some of the most unique strategies for writing contracts, networking with luxury clients, and building a strong team.

I have also learned that lessons can often come when you least expect it, and sometimes from individuals you’d never expect to learn from. So in addition to remaining hungry for knowledge, I am always open to talking with the world and respecting the various perspectives and ideas which come from candid conversations.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the city of Atlanta! Everything about the Atlanta makes me feel like I am home. From the southern cuisine to the night life. ATL is where it is happening. I love eating at some of the spots that has a lot of history like Mary Macs on Ponce De Leon, hanging out taking in some of the scenery at Piedmont Park along with taking a bike ride on the beltline.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Grandfather the late Mr. Eugene LaFitte. He pushed me to be the best me. His advice to me was “If your the smartest person in the room, Your in the wrong room”.
