We had the good fortune of connecting with Gigi Jarvis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gigi, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Be a better person; than the person you were yesterday”.

This quote reminds me that each day is an opportunity to grow in kindness, gratitude, or discipline; enhancing my life and positively impacting others.

In addition, it’s not about treating ourselves as an endless improvement project, but rather, living more meaningfully by embracing a gentle and mindful approach.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a signed petite-curvy model and content creator with a distinct, edgy style—think black, white, and a splash of red—paired with Gen Z humor.

I’ve definitely faced my fair share of challenges. For the majority of my life, I was told I couldn’t make it in the creative industry, constantly hearing “I would never make it” and being doubted. After completing my degree in STEM, I came to the realization that I’d rather take a chance on my creative dreams and fail than look back and regret not trying because I listened to what others thought was best for me. Through a lot of determination, discipline, and the support of my current community, I’ve been able to push through and find success in the creative industry faster than I ever imagined. It’s been a journey, but I’m grateful for every step of it.

I know I still have a long way to go before I can truly consider myself successful, but given that this is my first year fully embracing my creative path, I’m excited for the journey ahead and all that’s to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am very involved with the alternative culture in Atlanta. If I was showing someone around, I would highly suggest taking them to an Underground Atlanta event (a secret forest rave or an art exhibit). I would also suggest shopping at Little 5 Points. Not only are there a lot of cool shops, but the people there are very kind and fashion-forward!

As someone who was born and raised in Metro-Atlanta, and currently lives in Atlanta, I absolutely love the tourist spots here (World of Coke, Piedmont Park, and GA Aquarium). It is also cool to show people the locations where movies have been shot here (such as the elevator in the Marriot Marquis being used for the Hunger Games).

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If you know me well, you know how deeply I value the amazing community I’m a part of. I truly believe that the people we surround ourselves with shape who we are, and I owe everything to the support and influence of those around me.

First, a big shoutout to my dad, Ivan Jarvis, and my brothers, Mikey and Jonathan, who are always there to support me—even if the creative industry still leaves them scratching their heads (but they will always listen to me ramble about it!).

I’m also incredibly grateful to Jade Droese and Kanza Husain, whose encouragement helped me take the bold step of pursuing my creative passions in the first place.

A special thank you to my boyfriend, Iain Smith, for being my constant source of support and motivating me to reach new heights.

My modeling agency, Miles Models, for making me realize my dreams can become reality.

And lastly, to all my friends not mentioned—there are too many to name, but your constant support means the world. Whether it’s lifting my spirits, sending a thoughtful check-in text, or resharing a post, I truly appreciate every gesture. I’m also deeply grateful for my boyfriend’s friends—who I’m lucky enough to now call my own—who have become my mentors, collaborators, and roommates! I’m incredibly fortunate to learn from such an inspiring group of people who challenge me, push me to work harder, and help me navigate this industry.
