We had the good fortune of connecting with Gianna Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gianna, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
When it comes to knowing whether to keep going or give up, God is my number one. I’ve learned that everything we do in life is earned nothing is ever just given. In order to receive the results you want you have to keep going. We become our own enemies doubting our potential.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As many know I am a Lash Artist, I own a beauty business and I love to cook!.. I’ve always had passion for lashes. I remember being in highschool and my mother always telling me to take my lashes off in the car on the way to school. She used to tell me it made me look grown but trust and believe I applied them as soon as I got to school. Lashes have always been me so I furthered my beauty passion and became a Lash Artist. I also handmake strip lash extensions as well! With my beauty business I have my own products and I help other businesses grow their beauty businesses as well. Growing up I wanted to become a chef so badly and I never let that passion go. It is on my to do list to open up a restaurant one day. Catering services coming soon!

To get to where I am now was not easy but it was worth it. Hardwork always pays off. Stay down and consistent! To the world I want you to know that you can do whatever you set your mind to. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from the city that never sleeps, Brooklyn, NY!! Being that I currently reside in Georgia, I would probably take my bestfriend to Savannah. I love laid back sceneries like the beach. I think aquariums and amusement parks are exciting. I’m a big kid at heart so I love roller coasters and rides. I also love nature. I like visiting places that make you appreciate the small things.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give big ups to my twin brother Giovanni (@blvckprvnt) a successful poet himself, my loving partner AKA Blu Daymond a upcoming recording artist and entrepreneur herself (@blusaintdaymond) , myself and most importantly God. With many more days to come, throughout my entire journey these two have been there for me always.. Encouragement, motivation, and discipline. God has shown me so much throughout my experience and I’ll keep trusting in him to guide the way.
