We had the good fortune of connecting with George Holliday and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi George, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Every brand should be utilising a Sonic Strategy as well as a visual strategy (social media, TV Advertising etc.). We are living in a world where Sound is becoming more and more dominant. Think podcasts, products with sounds, smart speakers, Apps, TikTok… the list goes on however our lives are constantly immersed and enhanced by sound, yet most brands still don’t maximise the opportunity to connect with customers and build that recognition and trust. I bet you can whistle me the McDonald’s sound, but have no idea what Burger King’s sound is…. This is the main thing about my industry that most people don’t think about on a daily, and i’m excited to be part of the change!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m most proud and excited to find a market that can help so many brands across the world, but there’s such a small market of companies doing it in a fresh and modern approach! Jingles are a thing of the past, Sonic Branding is here for the now. I started out as a producer for artists, which I guess is like creating a Sonic Brand for artists helping them discover their sound. That evolved with my love of business too and after setting up a couple of unrelated businesses to music, I wanted to bring it full circle and work out how music can really work in harmony with brands! We then setup Hear Me Out and here we are..
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I work from anywhere in the world. I’m currently writing this in Albania. So right now, I would recommend a road trip through the mountains of Albania, through the beautiful town of Berat, and down to the Maldive-esque beaches of Ksamil. It’s cheap here, the people are wonderful, and the views are even more unbelievable! Although there’s a lot of stray dogs and I want to take each everyone of them home with me….

Luke Moseley definitely deserves a shoutout. He’s my Co-Founder but is fundamental in helping me feel confident enough to jump into this world of Sonic Branding and building an epic movement of change in the industry of branding and advertising!
