Hi Genesis, what’s your definition for success?
How I define success is doing what you love, not living in regret, facing your fears, not giving up, letting go of anything that’s doesn’t serve greatness in your life, striving in what you believe in, taking those risks, being fruitful, grateful & being yourself; That’s the true definition of success !

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is magical !! What sets me apart from others is who I am and the gift that was passed down to me. I don’t just do hair, I create & design beauty to help build confidence. I got here because my Nana passed this gift down to me, and it is my mission to finish and fulfill what she left for me. It wasn’t easy coming up, I know that there is ALOT of competition out here. The beauty industry is a tough industry to be in, I knew coming into the game I had to go hard. The lessons I learned along the way was to be patient with myself and not to be discouraged. Not everyone is going to love their hair, but that has nothing to do with me. I had to learn that I wasn’t going to be able to satisfy everyone and that’s what I had to come into terms with accepting. Giving that I’m a perfectionist and I strive to achieve the best results.
I want the world to know that TheeHairGenie is a overall experience, not just with hair but also for your soul growing up, I didn’t have the best confidence that I should have and knowing how major it means to adjust your crown and feel great about yourself. It brings me much joy to build confidence for women and men.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
All my friends are here however let’s say my cousins from Ohio came to visit; honestly everything in Atlanta has changed if the underground was still alive I’ll take them there. The sundial however it don’t spin no more so that’s a shame. The only american deli I’ll take them to the one in Greenbirar the other ones are slipping respectfully. I’ll take them to Cascde do some skating, then to my crib cause that’s the most lit place to be add. I’ll bring my friends over cause they are my my exciting people to be around. We’ll vibe, go over business ideas to make more revenue, create content, & all the things.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout out to God & Myself first & foremost. Most importantly, a huge shout out to my beautiful parents without them I wouldn’t be the women I am today. Also shout out to my grandparents especially my beautiful nana, she’s the reason why I’m doing hair in the first place I love you Jewel!! Shout out to my sisters from another mister, you know who you are I love you thank you for always being there for me. My family I appreciate you always being around keeping my spirit when we connect I love you all!!
