We had the good fortune of connecting with Geneses Warren and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Geneses, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Though I already have other businesses, my thought process behind starting my own fashion business was unique. I wanted to develop a brand that is tailored to unique fashion, self-care, and image consulting. My desire was to create a space tailored to all.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
A’lee Boutique is an upcoming fashion boutique that serves women’s sizes s-3xl. We are a fashion house tailored to all. We believe what sets us apart from others is our statement, “For every occasion, there is a dress code.” I am most excited about styling clients and seeing them transform right before their own eyes. Hard work, dedication, humility, and being kind allowed me to get where I am today. It definitely wasn’t easy. Honestly, I believe anything that requires building doesn’t come with ease but it takes patience, effort, and determination to overcome. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned along the way has been to build one brick at a time because success isn’t developed overnight. I want the world to know that A’lee Boutique is more than a fashion boutique, but it’s a legacy that is tailored to creating an everlasting imprint of beauty, fashion, and self-esteem.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to some of my favorite restaurants–Milk & Honey, Decatur, BLU Seafood House, The Busy Bee Cafe, and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream shop. In my view, some of the most fun and interesting places to checkout would be Top Golf, The Trap Museum and Escape Room, The Projects Restaurant on Tuesdays for comedy night, and Stars and Stripes for family fun.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my father who was a business owner for years. He passed in 2012 and I believe I am starting where he left off and there are no limits to success.
