We had the good fortune of connecting with G-Wade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi G-Wade, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The process behind starting Wade Works Studios was to simply provide a platform for creatives to showcase their gifts & talents. Our client-base has grown exponentially over the past five years and plans to purchase our own facility is now in the works. What started out as a drawing on a piece of paper in 1998, has now transformed itself into a brick & mortar reality.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe what sets me apart from others is my drive and passion for what I believe in. The entertainment business is not an easy business to navigate through but it’s the belief in myself and my unwavering focus that keeps me going. Challenges are just par for the course, and I’ve learned to face each obstacle head-on as they come. If there’s one thing that I’d like the world to know about my story is that you should never give up on your dreams no matter how long it takes for it to come to fruition. God’s promise is always on time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely make sure that we visit the Martin Luther King, Jr National Historic Site. We’d also visit the Georgia Aquarium. As far as a night out on the town, we’d check out Atlantic Station for places to eat and take in some live music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I would like to thank God for giving me the gifts & talents to pursue this career and for the strength needed to stay the course when the road got rough. I would also like to thank my mother for never giving up on me during the times when I gave her every reason to turn her back on me. And lastly, my mentors and friends who have supported and encouraged me throughout the years.
