Meet Frelecia King | Luxury Event Childcare Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Frelecia King and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Frelecia, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I view risk as a necessary part of growth, but it has to be intentional. I don’t take blind risks; I take calculated ones where I understand both the upside and what I’m willing to lose.
Every major step in my career, starting my business and entering a niche childcare market with limited information, required me to move before I felt fully ready. Nearly a decade later, as I expand, securing hotel partnerships and expanding into new markets, that same mindset still applies. Each of those decisions created opportunities that wouldn’t have existed if I had played it safe.
What I’ve learned is that taking risk isn’t about being fearless, it’s about trusting yourself to figure things out. Every strategic risk has stretched me, refined my leadership, and elevated my business. Because I have learned the biggest risk isn’t failing it’s staying the same.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, GO-TAB Luxury Event Childcare, provides high-quality, on-site childcare for events, hotels, and corporate environments so parents can be fully present at an event while their children are safely cared for.
What sets us apart is the level of structure, professionalism, and intention we bring, we’re not just childcare, we create a seamless experience that fits into elevated environments.
I’m most proud of building this in a space that didn’t have a clear blueprint. It wasn’t easy. I had to figure things out through trial, consistency, and trusting my vision, even when I didn’t have all the answers.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that growth requires patience, resilience, and the willingness to keep going. What I want people to know about my brand is that it’s rooted in care, professionalism, and purpose, we’re creating solutions that truly support families and enhance experiences.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta, I’d make sure they experienced a mix of culture, fun, and just a good vibe overall. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Thai food, so that’s definitely on the list, we’re going to Nan Thai Fine Dining. During the day, we’d spend time shopping at Buckhead Village District or Phipps Plaza, then head to the Atlanta BeltLine to walk, eat, and just enjoy the energy of the city. Atlanta really has a great mix of food, vibes, and things to do. And for a night out, we’re getting dressed and going somewhere with a vibe like The Garden Room or Red Phone Booth for drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would dedicate my shoutout to the people who believed in me and supported my journey, even in the early stages when the vision wasn’t fully understood. Building something in a niche market (Event Childcare) with limited information required a lot of faith, resilience, and self-trust, but having even a small circle of support made a big difference.
I especially want to recognize my mom, who is also an entrepreneur and showed me what it looks like to build something of your own, and my dad, who has always supported and believed in me. Their influence and encouragement have played a major role in how I show up in both life and business.
I also give credit to the clients who trusted me early on. Every opportunity they gave me helped shape my business, refine my services, and build the confidence to keep growing.
And honestly, I have to acknowledge myself as well. Entrepreneurship requires you to show up consistently, take risks, and keep going even when things are uncertain. That level of discipline and belief in yourself is something I don’t take lightly.
