We had the good fortune of connecting with Freddie Milons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Freddie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
3L3M3NT is my creative space where I release energy, good or bad. This space allows me to be emotional, vulnerable, happy, sad, etc., without judgment. My 3L3M3NT saved my life. I originally started my brand for myself to give me purpose and get me out of the depression state I was in. This plan to get me out of my depression turned into a movement that now involves numerous people worldwide. I encourage everyone to find their creative space because it can do wonders for you. As life passes us by and our days start to merge. What things do you do to enjoy yourself? Once you take time out to figure this out, you will enjoy life more. This is why I started my brand to assist with this. As mental health is the number one priority of 3L3M3NT

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Hey I am Freddie Milons III and my brand is 3L3M3NT. I sell clothes and merchandise such as stress balls, but most importantly, I sell well-being. It’s more than a brand, more than clothes, and a community. I look at my brand as a movement. Mental health is the focus of my brand. Taking care of your mental health with creativity is my formula of choice. I market to(towards) all creators, from moms at home to full-time students. We all have things we must do to keep food on our plate, but what are we doing to ensure we are sane. Your 3L3M3NT is that creative space for you to release and express. My brand has saved lives. I am a living testimony. I overcame the lowest point in my life with my brand. It gives me purpose. Just like your subject of choice provides you. This is the difference between my competitors in the highly saturated apparel market and me. My brand has meaning. Along with that, my competitors and I have significant differences. I attend Savannah State University to become a software engineer, and balancing school with my business is one of many challenges.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would tell them to hop in and enjoy the ride. We can go around different spots and maybe a pop-up like Atlanta Streetwear Market. Or show up to Little Five points. When in Atlanta, it is business or fun, so a majority of the time, I have a photoshoot to do or either a concert. Atlanta is where I experienced the best shows of my life, including Smino, EarthGang, and Gunna. There are endless places to go in Atlanta, so I enjoy the trip.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to Avatar the Last Airbender. The lessons on this show are endless and have influenced the brand in many ways. Regarding people, I would like to give a big shoutout to @untitl3d_imag3s. He is my photography brother and a big supporter of the brand.
