We had the good fortune of connecting with FOXYSWINE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi FOXYSWINE, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We really wanted to create a project together. We have both grown up with a love of comic strips, and since we are both artists, creating a Sunday comic seemed like the perfect fit.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Chris and I both studied art–he at the Art Institute of Atlanta, and i studied fine arts at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. We started working at Floyd County Productions within a week of each other. We were quick friends, and loved making art together. As our relationship grew, we decided to make a Sunday Comic strip. The comic has really taught us how to maintain a goal and timeline, and to stick to it consistently.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As far as places to eat, our favorites would be: The Albert (for burgers), Hankook ( for tacos), and Fellini’s ( for pizza) If someone was visiting, we would drive them around to see all the amazing murals in the city. Some favorite places include Little Five points, Piedmont Park, and Cabbage Town. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A big thanks to all of the people who read our comic!
