We had the good fortune of connecting with Flame Gotti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Flame, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Atlanta Georgia. I’m what they call a “Grady Baby”. I grew up on just about every side of Atlanta, but mainly The west side & south side. I grew up in mostly “hood” places which motivated me to make something of myself. I lost most of my close friends to either jail or death, so I was always Very serious when it came to making something happen for not only me, but everybody else around me. I’ve had a passion for writing & recording music all my life, so In my mind I always told myself “I won’t be denied”. After losing 1 of my older bro’s to gunfire , his death impacted me greatly to make a name for myself in the music business. Football & Music was his passion, so when he died I felt as though I had no choice but to create opportunities in those two fields! I ran with it, created my own entertainment company “Flame Nation Entertainment” & haven’t looked back since.. I’m also currently investing in a few properties around the Atlanta area and will be on the way to owning a few of my own very soon. In my down time, I’d pick 1 of the luxury units I currently rent out to the public when they are not booked up & shoot music videos inside of each unit & create the same opportunities for my artist & other artist. Long story short, having to get everything out the mudd made me appreciate the little I was given. It made more curious about other parts of the world & what they have to offer and what it takes to get there. In & out of jail, losing everything I worked all my life for & having to start over motivated me to never make the same mistakes again! It motivated me to never put myself in a position I can’t get myself out of ever again! With that being said, stay tuned for what’s next!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m proud of the fact that I never gave up on my dreams after all I’ve been through thus far. What sets me apart from others is that I rarely reach out for help. I believe in trying to do what I can myself first rather than reaching out to others for help. Also, I believe in building genuine relationships rather than it just being about money. Now days it’s all about your budget to how people treat you, not with me though. I got to where I am now by keeping FULL FAITH IN THE MOST HIGH AND BELIEVING FULLY IN WHAT I ASK FOR WITHOUT A DOUBT OR CONTRADICTION. 1 main lesson I’ve learned thus far is to know THE BUSINESS OF THE MUSIC FIRST AND FOREMOST BEFORE DIVING HEAD FIRST IN THE INDUSTRY. I would like the world to know that my brand is authentic and will be remembered as 1 of the most life changing opportunities of all time! Stay tuned for what’s next!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in the city would probably be a place called Roswell Mill Club. It’s like a peaceful water Park right outside the city around the Roswell area you could relax at , walk through the water , sky dive etc. My favorite place to eat and chill would probably have to be Jacks Pizza. It’s a bar & pizza joint In the city. They have other foods also. Some of the most fun places to go are probably Andretti , Dave and busters , & cascade skating ring on Sundays (Grown Folks Night)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my mom for never giving up on me! I’d also like to shoutout the 3 creators of the book “The Pact”. It’s basically a book about 3 brothers who came up in rough environments like myself but still managed to make something of themselves. That particular book help me through my jail bid back in 2014 while doing time in the hole! Last but not least I’d like to S/o & recognize Lil Durk & Kevin Gates. There music help me through most of my struggles. Id like to shoutout Fabo of D4L, & Mykko Montana ! They were the first 2 major features I ever got and they both did them for free of charge 🙏🏾 I’m forever grateful
