We had the good fortune of connecting with Fareed Rasheed and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fareed, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Originally from Washington DC but I have been living in Georgia since elementary school. My grandparents they owned a restaurant and that’s where my love of food began before that it was just eat to survive nowadays I appreciate it more.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m most excited about actually starting getting out of my comfort zone and just going for it. when you do the same thing for a lot of years you tend to think that’s it. We can no longer stay at a job 30+years we don’t like have a pension etc. these days so go do what you love and go for it. I’ve been told to start ugly and that’s just what I did. Scared afraid but took that leap. I like to call myself the Anthony Bourdain of vegan food to show ppl that good food is good food so what if it’s vegan plus you can’t beat all the added benefits

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First we’ll hit Gregorys Atlanta vegan Breakfast For drinks and food will hit up Bar Vegan Atl
And Atlanta Hard cider &distillery
For a lunch probably Tassili’s Raw Reality, Vegan Wangz, or grab something from Wadada healthy market and juice bar
Dinner would be like Calaveritas Taqueria
And can’t forget plant based pizzeria
In between all of that Will most likely catch a game at Mercedes Benz. Get some range training, A Car meet or show, bowling or top golf and a museum or park just to round things out.
