Hi Fantasia, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Fantasy Lash camp teaches valuable skills in the beauty industry. We aim to not only provide teenagers with a productive way to spend their time but also to equip them with valuable skills that can potentially generate income for them and their families.

Fantasy Lash camps make a positive impact on the community in several ways:

Financial Empowerment is a primary focal point, because many teenagers face financial challenges. The income generated from participating in the Lash Camp can help alleviate some of these burdens. This additional income can contribute towards school clothes, prom expenses, senior dues, and other necessities.

Community Engagement is another positive impact of Fantasy Lash camps. By offering a constructive and engaging activity, we can keep teenagers off the streets and provide them with a safe and supportive environment to learn and grow.

Furthermore, we aid in crime prevention by providing teenagers with meaningful activities which can help reduce the likelihood of them engaging in criminal behavior, such as theft from local businesses. By keeping them occupied with productive pursuits, we contribute to a safer community for all.

Fantasy Lash is a lash business that is dedicated to promoting lash sanitation and care while fostering young entrepreneurship in the beauty industry. Our unique approach combines professional lash services with educational youth camp aimed at guiding aspiring entrepreneurs through the intricacies of the beauty sector. Our lash services prioritize sanitation and care ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction. We offer a range of treatments, all performed by skilled technicians.
In addition to our services, we host youth camps designed to empower young individuals interested in pursuing careers in the beauty industry. These camps provide hands-on experience, mentorship and guidance from industry professionals. At Fantasy Lash, we believe in the power of education, entrepreneurship and community support to create lasting change and opportunities for individuals from all walks of life.

What sets my business apart from others is that Fantasy Lash stands out due to our commitment to using high-quality, cruelty-free products, providing personalized consultations to ensure each client receives lashes that perfectly complement their unique features and lifestyle but also our comprehensive classes tailored specifically for the youth. We focus on empowering young individuals with the skills and confidence to pursue careers in the beauty industry, fostering a supportive community that encourages creativity and professional growth.

I am proud of the strong, loyal client base we have built, and the positive impact we have our clients’ confidence and self-esteem. Furthermore, I’m most proud of the positive impact our business has on young people’s lives. Seeing our students develop their talents, gain confidence and succeed in their own right is incredibly rewarding.

Getting where we are today involved a great deal of hard work, perseverance and strategic planning. It was challenging, especially in the early stages, to establish a reputation and attract a loyal client base. However, our commitment to quality, continuous learning and community engagement helped us overcome these hurdles.

We overcame challenges by staying adaptable and innovative, continuously improving our services and curriculum based on feedback and industry trends. Building a strong support network, seeking mentorship, and maintaining a clear vision also played crucial roles in navigating obstacles and seizing opportunities.

One of the key lessons learned is the importance of resilience and maintaining a customer-centric approach. Listening to our clients and students, understanding their needs, and consistently delivering value have been fundamental to our growth and success. Additionally, investing in personal and professional development is crucial for long-term sustainability.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend is visiting Atlanta for the weekend, we’d start with a delicious breakfast at The Flying Biscuit Café, known for its Southern comfort food. We’d then head to the Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest in the world, followed by a visit to the nearby World of Coca-Cola for a fun, interactive experience. For lunch, we’d enjoy some authentic Southern BBQ at Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q.

In the afternoon, we’d stroll through the Atlanta Botanical Garden, taking in the beautiful displays and seasonal exhibits. For dinner, we’d dine at the upscale restaurant Bacchanalia, which offers a fantastic farm-to-table experience. In the evening, we could explore Ponce City Market’s rooftop for drinks, games, and an amazing view of the city skyline.

On Sunday, we’d start the day with brunch at Marcus Bar and Grill, a spot with classic Southern dishes. We’d then spend some time at the Atlanta BeltLine, walking or biking the trails and checking out the local art installations. For some shopping and exploring, we’d visit Little Five Points, a vibrant neighborhood known for its eclectic shops and street art. Finally, we’d wrap up the weekend with dinner at Staplehouse, a community-focused restaurant with a unique and evolving menu.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe much of my success as an entrepreneur to God first and foremost, and the invaluable mentorship of Chastye Brennan and Ashleigh Hobgen. Chastye has been pivotal in elevating my business by sharing her advanced knowledge, techniques, and industry insights. Her hands-on training and continuous support have not only enhanced the quality of my services but also boosted my confidence and credibility in the competitive beauty market. Ashleigh has profoundly impacted my business by providing comprehensive training on her effective teaching methods. Her expertise has enabled me to confidently conduct my own lash classes, thereby expanding my service offerings and increasing my revenue stream. My best friend Eboni Fuller who played a significant part in structuring my business. Eboni’s financial insights helped me to streamline my operation. Her expertise in financial planning and organizational management afforded me the opportunity to create a robust business model and maintain efficient workflows. Last but definitely not least, my family and children. Zion and Zaire have been a profound source of motivation for my business, inspiring me to build a successful business that secures their future. Their curiosity and enthusiasm remind me of the importance of perseverance and innovation
