We had the good fortune of connecting with Eunique Francis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eunique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my business was kind of all over the place, to be honest. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I was unsure how I should go about doing it. I also had to think about my target audience and how my idea would help others. I was nervous and scared for this new journey. I did not want to fail. I was also excited to start something new in my life, something that I never thought I would do or be capable of doing. It took me three years to finally make the decision to get my LLC. Slowly but surely I am achieving my dream in providing affordable pet care services to clients!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my career as a boarding technician. Over the years I worked myself up to a Vet assistant, Hospital tech, and now surgery tech assistant. I have been in the field for almost 7 years now and I have come so far! What I feel sets me apart from others is knowing that although I am allergic to some animals, that does not stop me from providing the best care for them. I am very proud of the person I have become. I never gave up on my dreams in wanting to take care of animals. I grew up loving them so much and because of that dream of mine I went to school and received my Bachelors degree in science. Let me tell you, it was not easy by far. I struggled, had my ups and downs, but not once did I want to give up. To be honest I kept telling myself, “Failure is not an option!” I feel like that motto has helped me continue to push myself. Having the drive, and determination to succeed, having the support from my family and loved ones telling me not to give up. Being the first on my parents side to complete college! I had all of this at my disposal and a strong support group, it made accomplishing my goal much more worth it! A lesson I did learn throughout the years though was to go at your own pace. Do not worry about what other people have accomplished before you, your time will come. Now here I am CEO of my own business called Eunique Pet Care.LLC The goal of my business is to provided affordable pet care services to clients. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shout out to my partner for encouraging me to start my business. If it wasn’t for him and his positive outlook on the matter, I don’t know if I would have pushed myself to do it. One of the things he said to me that stuck was “Don’t let your fear of the unknown hold you back”. He was right! So I started working towards it. I would also like to give a shout out to a good friend of mine named Jennifer who I spoke to about my idea and giving me that extra push on how I could also accomplish my goal. Lastly, I would love to give a shout out to my Parents for always being supportive and there for me any time I decided to make a decision. Thank you all!
