We had the good fortune of connecting with Esther Adagiri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Esther, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had always had a flair for fitness, I discovered early in life that I don’t like gaining weight little did I know that it was a green light for what I would call my career or business today. I remember some years back, whenever my clothes started feeling tight, I would stop eating all sugary and artificially processed foods and before you know it, my clothes would fit better again. I didn’t learn that from anywhere but I just knew somehow that those kinds of foods were making me gain weight.
Fast forward to when i got married and had my son, I gained so much weight and changed a lot that I couldn’t recognize myself anymore in the mirror but I was determined to get back to my pre pregnancy size once I can. I remember telling my neighbor about it and she told me that there’s nothing I can do about my new shape and size, it has come to stay. I strongly disagreed with her.
I started my weight loss journey after I was strong enough and healed from my surgery and the transformation was so incredible and amazing, I felt like I had hit a gold mine. I just couldn’t contain my joy, there was something bursting in me to go and share this information with other moms who want to achieve this thing that I had achieved.
I just couldn’t hold it back, the feeling was so strong and I was scared at first but I later found the courage to go post about my transformation on my facebook profile and that was how the whole Fit Momma Africa thing came into being.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is such that I live it daily. My business is my lifestyle, it’s what I live and teach, the knowledge I pass across so it’s personal for me, I take it very seriously. What sets me apart is that I am very involved in the transformation process of my clients, I always want everyone to feel a sense fulfillment at the end of their program and I find a solution to every challenge that they encounter along the way as long as it is within my power to do so because their results is my results. I give them an experience
I feel excited and fulfilled when my clients are happy with their results and gives me awesome feedback especially when their husbands are happy with their health and transformation, it gets me emotional every single time.
I have gotten to where I am today by God’s grace and hard work. I keep searching for and discovering new knowledge that can help me grow my business and stand out. It has been very challenging I must confess especially as a mum and wife. Juggling family and business is not easy but what has kept me going is my passion for what I do. It keeps me on my feet, excites me and I just continue doing it naturally. It’s like I was born to do it, that has been my biggest source of strength.
I have learned that where there’s a will there’s always a way. Consistency and the spirit of never giving up on your dreams is so powerful and always learning, unlearning and relearning are some of the secrets of success. If you want it so bad and put in the work, you will get it.
I am an open minded person who is dedicated to her work and clients, I thrive in the success of my clients because their success is my success.
I always strive for excellence because that is what the Fit Momma Africa brand represents. Any mom who comes across my business / programs and is dedicated to go through with it, must experience a transformation in their mind, health and body.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmmm I am not the best person to ask this question because I don’t go out much for now but I’m sure it will change very soon. However, if I find myself in such position, I will come up with something say ask my husband, brother or friend. They know, lol.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to first and foremost thank God almighty for his divine direction, wisdom and knowledge of my gift that I am sharing with the world and changing the lives of women, moms who have come across my business and participated in my programs. My appreciation goes to my husband for letting me shine my light and not let it go dim. He has been very supportive in all areas and has played a huge role in all of this. He’s the best husband ever.
I won’t forget my mom for her prayers, calls and encouragement to be patient and keep pushing even when the chips are down. She is my pillar of strength and number one cheer leader. I love you mom, you’re the best mom in the world.
And finally my ever supportive mommas who have been patronising my business and cheering me on, my story cannot be complete without my community of mommas, you guys rock. I love you my mommas.
