We had the good fortune of connecting with Essynce Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Essynce, why did you pursue a creative career?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always said I never want to limit myself to anything. I was the kid in school who joined the JROTC program, I took dance classes, and I even took karate lessons when I was little. What I love about having an artistic and creative career is, funny enough, it’s never been boring. It is constantly changing and evolving and there is always something new for me to learn. I have fun and I get to do what I love in the process.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started my business, Essynce Couture, when I was 10 years old. I eventually wrote 3 books by the time I was 13 years old and these books would later become mandatory readings in schools. There have definitely been some challenges along the way. For example learning to balance everything with school and all. However I definitely learned to prioritise and the power of having focus. I would love for the world to know that my brand is living proof that your age does not define what you are capable of and you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many places i would take my friends if they visited. For example, we would go ice skating, roller skating, and to this amusement park called Urban Air. We’d definitely have to go to little five points and eat at Cafe infermezzo. Lastly we’d have to get ice cream from taste vintage.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shoutout King Nahh. He’s a good friend of mine who just so happens to be an extremely talented young motivational speaker and influencer.
