We had the good fortune of connecting with Erny Liauw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erny, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I credited my habits as the success factors in my life. Those sums of routine activities which we often overlook it, can bring a significant results over time. Here they are:

1. Wake up early in the morning around 7 am, taking my time for praying and meditating before I start my day. This is the time when I find my relaxation and peace of mind, discover some inspirations or creative thoughts before all the busyness ahead.

2. Make a daily to-do list and accomplish it
Making a to-do list is very essential in my daily life. It helps me to stay focus amidst the work pressure and help me to work it out to meet my deadline.

3. Exercise regularly, and find a hobby!
I love barre, yoga, pilates and core works! I found both excitement and challenge on those. Starting ballet on my early age, dancing comes very natural to me. It’s my sweet spot and I treasure every minute of it, and I call it a hobby.

4. Learn to be grateful with what you have
Well, I’m still learning and I’m still a work in progress. Life is so full of ups and downs. It’s a constant battle field, thus, it’s imperative to have the right mind set. And being grateful is one of those. Do not compare yourself to others, rather, be grateful for what you progress today. The only thing you can compare (if you want) is yourself, then and now.

5. Get good quality of sleep every day
Sleeping is as important to me as working. Seven hours a day is a must for me to keep me awake, alert and active.

6. Praying, meditating, journaling and using vision board
Go-getter is what best describes me. Life can be so challenging and adrenaline pumping to me. At once, I love indulging myself in it because over-achievement is addicting. However, it can be painful at times. It just depletes my energy and mind.

That’s when I started searching for the spiritual awakening. And I found my life balance there. Trusting that there is Highest Power, who controls the universe; the One who I can fully rest and trust upon. Praying and meditating becomes my routines and the fear and anxiety of imperfections started to slow down and hopefully, faded for good. I do journaling of my daily activities and thoughts. Not regularly yet, but I’m starting. I started writing my dreams, my goals and my beliefs on the vision board. It serves as an affirmative actions to me. Throughout the years, I gained confidence, patience and faith practicing it.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started the business in 2014 as the Owner-Operator of Moto Asian Cuisine in Cumming. From there on, I ventured out to couple of restaurants throughout Metro Atlanta. There are mostly Asian Fusion concepts. There are couple partnerships which I am one of the partner and the CFO as well. I love crunching numbers and my experience as a banker help me to navigate my role and bring the business into higher level, even in some most challenging situations. I always told my partners that “numbers won’t lie.” Thus, this applies to our company when we are about to acquire a business or start one.

Apparently, business is not my only passion. I love investing as well. You probably can tell from my passion with numbers. Real estate becomes my next journey. I started to think out the strategy to help me understand the real estate business. Not until Dec 2019 I got my real estate license to enable me to start learning closely in this business. I became realtor during the pandemic. I almost decided to lay inactive at the beginning of 2020 when covid 19 hit, but thanks God I didn’t do that. Who knows that would be my bright years as a new realtor? I did not stop selling and listing houses ever since. I’ve helped first homeowners to buy their houses in these challenging seller market. I’m very persistent, open-minded, flexible, problem solver. Couple of cases including first time homeowners that did not pan out with their previous realtors for over 6 months were referred to me and we closed the homes within 1-3 months.

Yes, I love doing businesses, investing and selling homes! Especially that I can leverage my knowledge and experience in tax accounting and finance, banking and business, I can be your go-to for any real estate needs (for primary homeowners and investors).

For any real estate inquiries and consultations, I will be here to help you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For Atlanta City, I love West Midtown. I will take them to stroll down the Beltline, check out food halls at Ponce City Market, Mercedes Benz stadium, the Battery Atlanta. I will also take them to Buford Highway for some authentic cuisines….remember me as a restauranteur and foodie myself, the going north to where I live, during spring or fall, I’d love to take them to mountainous and lake livings, such as Lake Lanier, Blue Ridge and Elijay, Amicalola and Talulah Waterfall to enjoy the nature seing.
