We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Rachel Doppelt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin Rachel, how do you define success?
Weekdays that feel like weekends and weekends that feel like vacation. Success, to me, is the feeling state of waking up in the morning, drinking coffee in bed with my husband and a good book. The feeling of being at peace in the present moment. Of course I am deeply grateful to have a full cohort of the most amazing people in The Align Coaching Certification, my 9-month ivy league level program where you become a certified meditation teacher and spiritual psychology coach. The success to me, is inviting in, and running this program, from a place of alignment, joy and gusto is the real success.

Success is clear skin, little to no stress, making gourmet meals while making up silly songs with the people I lo

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I moved to Israel when I was 23 and learned to live off the land. I studied with Shaman in the desert, hiked the whole country and learned about true nourishment through food & joy. This led me to India where I worked in the slums of Mumbai, lived in many different Ashrams & spiritual centers, studied yoga, Ayurveda and meditation. I received my acceptance letter to Columbia University while living in a mostly silent Ashram in South India. I returned back to my hometown, Chicago, and then shifted to New York and got my Master’s in Clinical Psychology & Education. During the last 7-8 years I have built a huge spiritual business where I lead retreats around the world and educate in both business, mindful and spiritual coaching programs. I am really excited about my signature 9 month Ivy League level certification The Align Coaching Certification™ where you become a Certified Meditation Teacher and Spiritual Psychology Coach. https://www.erinracheldoppelt.com/align-coaching-certification

I learned that as long as I trust in, what I call my “Inner Guru,” (your most authentic and aligned self) then all will be okay. Yes, there were pitfalls where I met many false gurus in India that were more interested in sleeping with me than teaching me yoga, however those obstacles redirected me to places I needed to go and the right soulmate friends I needed to meet.

I want the world to know 4 things:
1) Your greatest work is to self-study (something I call accounting of the soul) because then you will know how to operate in this current human experience, Heal your people pleasing wounds, honor your inner child, and strengthen your Inner Guru connection
2) Your desires exist for a reason, they are unique to you, and it is your mission on earth to pursue it
3) Be gentle. No one could have prepared your soul for a life like this. Be a kind voice in your own head. Once you befriend yourself, then everything you desire will fall into place
4) Start meditating today. This life altering practice will allow you to thrive with a relaxed nervous system

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Aziza or Rina for amazing hummus and atmosphere! Followed by a walk around Freedom Park! I also really love driving out into nature. One of my favorite memories was a drive I did from Atlanta into North Carolina! The trees and nature a long the way are so beautiful! I did that drive in the fall and highly recommend. Such gorgeous nature there!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To the Land Of Israel. Thank you for helping me wake up and supporting me along my journey when I was 23 years old praying everyday to have a life that looks like this. I am so grateful 🙂
