We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Kirby and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin, why did you pursue a creative career?
I think in a way it chose me. I have never wanted to do anything but music even as a small child. I can not imagine not doing something that allows me to express myself in a creative way. I know there are people who have a passion for other fields but for me it is something I have always done and felt a need to do. I love writing as well. It is a lot of work and takes a lot of time but it is what makes my heart happy and fulfilled.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The music industry and following your dreams is not always easy, that being said I am extremely blessed. Throughout my journey I have met some incredible people, had some amazing opportunities, and have had one of the greatest support system’s out there. When it comes to my music, I always remind myself that God is the whole reason that I get to do what I do. He gave me a gift and I want to use it in the right way. Even though I sing country, I will forever promote my relationship with the Lord and I will try to inspire others to use their gifts.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a huge food gal and my best friend loves food just as much as I do! (hint why we are besties.) I would take him to some of the greatest and most historic places in Atlanta to eat such as The Varisty for lunch and then Mary Mac’s for dinner. I love the aquarium in Atlanta and the shopping around the city is great. Little Five Points has some of the best vintage shops and a bunch of unique items.
