We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erin, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
The habits that I know help me succeed, is the constant reassurance to myself that I am going to make something of myself. Also, to be a positive role model for young one and adults that might feel lost in their own lives.
Another habit that I have, is writing things in a journal (I.e. goals for the day, week, year). That way I can stay grounded with what I have to do throughout the hours of the day.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m building my company literally from ground up, structure wise, etc. I have always envisioned myself being a business owner, not having to work for others, but making a name for myself in a positive way, while motivating others to do the same. I got to where I am today, by perseverance and attitude. In life, you’re always going to run into people that aren’t going to have the best words for you, especially if they don’t have the same vision or brain as you.
It’s important to remember that your vision is your vision and nobody can take that from you no matter what they do. I’m excited about these new journeys that I have put myself into. From background acting, to radio.
Nothing I have ever done was easy, I think the hardest part for me was getting up early in the morning, to go to work at night, then go to school and sleep until class started, the repeat it all over again. It was never easy but well worth it.
I want the world to know, that I am bringing something positive to the world, there is too much hate, so I’m trying to change the narrative for all. Through music and film.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So if my friends were to come and visit, Martha’s Vineyard would definitely be the first on the list. Only because I love serene atmospheres where I can relax and manifest future plans, the Aquarium be cause I love things like that, although I would rather see them in the open and not behind glass. Next there is a virtual reality place that I enjoyed last time I went, it was really fun. As far as eating, I would take them to “The Suite”, there is really good food there. I don’t drink really, so I wouldn’t really know where to go for that.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mentor over at BET definitely gave me a jumpstart to path of success that I’m on now. I did my internship in New York back in 2015, and it still feels like yesterday. Everyone was hospitable and the vibe was incredible. My mentor has always believed in me, up until this very minute.
My mom as well, for making sure that I took the time in getting my homework done, throughout my school years, she pushed me to be something, and still does it to this day. Now that I’m working on my 3rd degree( I say my final degree, but who really knows). I know that education is a big part of my life, because I set my own value on it.
