We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika Grupp and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erika, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I think it’s really easy to get caught up in numbers of likes/followers etc. and sometimes it can be hard to view your work negatively if you don’t get a certain “number”. For me, I know I have built a great community and have met so many business partners through my social media outlet which makes it worth continuing creating content

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I decided to start an Instagram page dedicated to fashion in 2019. I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into since the “influencer” world was still pretty new. But I loved building my community and showing affordable fashion. When tik tok became popular, I started making daily vlogs which was something I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as I did. Going from always wanting everything to be picture perfect to showing my daily routine as a sahm was an easier process and I think my true self was better displayed for my audience. But now I post content on both profiles mostly daily vlogs, affordable fashion, amd sahm lifestyle.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to brunch in downtown Alpharetta at Up on the Roof! And also to do some shopping in the area. They have some of the best boutiques, such as Perched!

Then I’d definitely want to take them to the Halcyon so we could enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants and live music on the green and enjoy some cocktails outside!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
One of my favorite business partners I love working with is the Halcyon in Alpharetta, Ga. They have given me so many opportunities and it’s been great to support a local business!
