We had the good fortune of connecting with Erich Janzen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always had a passion for self defense, as a child I was severely bullied at a local baseball/softball program. I was drug behind bleachers and beat up, they would throw rocks, one kid hit me in the head with a baseball bat so hard that I was concussed and I still have a large scar under my eyebrow. My friend suggested I try a martial arts class with them, and the rest is history. I was able to gain the confidence to defend myself and avoid those situations. Everyone deserves to be confident in themselves. Especially that small boy on the ball field.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places I’d recommend would be The mall of Georgia, Tribble mill, downtown Duluth or Lawrenceville.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this shout-out portion to my son, Ezra-Luis. Becoming a father has made me much more patient, understanding, and an over all better person. Thank you son.
