Meet Erica Reid | Natural Glow Creator through Organically Bronzed Beettans and Rosie Reid’s Jun Tea Kombucha

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Reid and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erica, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born in Erie, PA, and later moved to Philadelphia. My father spent his entire career in waste management, and during visits to my grandmother in Augusta, GA, he noticed that the city didn’t offer curbside trash and recycling together. Seeing an opportunity, he pursued his vision and moved our family to Augusta when I was in grade school, founding Augusta Disposal and Recycling. He started with just one truck, driving it himself, with my uncle slinging trash on the back. Through hard work and determination, he built it into a thriving business with nearly 20 trucks. His entrepreneurial spirit and relentless work ethic shaped who I am today.
Losing him at a young age taught me resilience and the value of hard work. After his passing when I was 17, I earned my GED and moved back to Philadelphia, where I attended culinary school. It was during that time that I started working out regularly and found fitness to be something deeply important to me. Even though I was making some reckless choices in life, I always prioritized my health. That passion led me to become a certified personal trainer in 2009, and I’ve been training clients on and off since then, always staying connected to health and wellness.
Over the past decade, I’ve gone through a major transformation, and this year marks 10 years of living a clean, healthier, and more intentional life. That journey led me to create Rosie Reid’s Jun Tea Kombucha—a brand that reflects not just my love for wellness but also my commitment to balance, self-care, and building something meaningful. Along the way, I also launched Organically Bronzed Beettan, my all-natural spray tanning business, which aligns with my passion for clean, healthy living.
For the past two years, I’ve also worked for Speedbourne Racing Services offering Hospitality for the Ferrari Race Team of Atlanta, traveling for races and ensuring that the team, guests, and sponsors have the best possible experience at events. It’s been an exciting opportunity to combine my background in customer service with high-end hospitality, and it’s given me an even deeper appreciation for precision, dedication, and the power of strong relationships in business.
Whether it was my time as a chef, my work with Ferrari, running Organically Bronzed Beettan, or now growing Rosie Reid’s Jun Tea Kombucha, I carry my father’s drive and determination with me.
My upbringing instilled in me the importance of perseverance, authenticity, and believing in what I do—values that continue to shape both my personal and professional journey.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the owner of Organically Bronzed Beettan and Rosie Reid’s Jun Tea Kombucha, two businesses that reflect my passion for health, wellness, and natural living.
With Beettan, what sets us apart is our direct partnership with Georgia farmers—we are truly locally sourced, ensuring that our products are as natural and sustainable as possible. Unlike many spray tan solutions on the market that rely on harsh chemicals or artificial dyes, our Beettan formula is derived from sugar beets, offering a clean, non-toxic alternative that nourishes the skin while providing a flawless glow.
Another thing that makes Organically Bronzed Beettan unique is our commitment to inclusivity. We cater to all races, skin types, and tones, ensuring that every client gets a custom, natural-looking tan that enhances their unique beauty. Whether someone wants a subtle sun-kissed glow or a deeper bronze, we create a look that is perfectly tailored to their individual skin tone—without the orange, streaky results that many people fear with traditional spray tans. My goal has always been to provide a healthy, confidence-boosting option for anyone looking to achieve a radiant glow without compromising their skin’s health.
With Rosie Reid’s Jun Tea Kombucha, I take the same approach to quality and wellness. My kombucha stands apart because it’s made with green tea and raw honey instead of the traditional black tea and cane sugar, resulting in a smoother, more delicate ferment that’s rich in probiotics and antioxidants.
Getting to where I am today business-wise has been far from easy. The biggest challenges have been navigating regulations, securing funding, and finding a commercial kitchen for my kombucha business. Many kitchens have strict policies or high costs that make it difficult for small-batch brewers like me to get started. I’ve had to be resourceful—reaching out to local businesses, forming partnerships, and continuously adapting. Meanwhile, building Organically Bronzed Beettan has required me to educate people about natural tanning, break misconceptions about spray tans, and create a community of people who care about what they put on their bodies.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is that persistence is everything. There were plenty of moments where I could have thrown in the towel, but I reminded myself why I started—to create something meaningful, health-conscious, and community-driven. Another key lesson is that the right people will show up at the right time. The support from my Beettan tribe, my kombucha community, and my local business partners has been invaluable.
What I want the world to know is that my businesses are more than just a product—they’re about transformation, confidence, and wellness. Organically Bronzed Beettan is about feeling good in your skin, and Rosie Reid’s Jun Tea Kombucha is about nourishing your body from the inside out. Whether I’m helping someone achieve their perfect glow or introducing them to the benefits of kombucha, my mission remains the same: to promote health, self-care, and community in an authentic, sustainable way.
At the end of the day, I’m just grateful to be doing what I love—helping people glow, inside and out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout first and foremost to my dad in heaven, whose presence I still feel guiding me every day. He was the definition of hard work and perseverance, building something from nothing and showing me what it truly means to chase a vision. Though he’s no longer here, his spirit lives on in everything I do, and I strive to make him proud.
My husband, Jeff, and my daughter, Nellie Rose, are my greatest supporters and my daily motivation. Their love, encouragement, and belief in me push me to keep going, even when the journey gets tough. Jeff’s steady support and Nellie’s boundless energy and bright spirit remind me daily why I chase my dreams.
I also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my incredible mother, LeeAnn, my amazing sister, Emily, and the best bonus dad ever, Paul. They are my rocks—the steady foundation that keeps me grounded. Their unwavering love and belief in me mean the world, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
A huge shoutout to my Beettan tribe of amazing boss babes—a group of strong, inspiring women who lift each other up and remind me daily of the power of community and support.
And of course, to the incredible community around me—from the local businesses that have welcomed me with open arms to the friends and customers who continue to support my dreams—thank you. Your encouragement and belief in my vision mean everything.
