We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Fuller with EZ Pours & Plates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica Fuller, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was, “what will differentiate me from others, and why should someone choose my business.” You and someone else could cook the same dish and offer the same services, and it’ll come out completely different.

What should our readers know about your business?
My professionalism, attitude, being a person of my word and having integrity set me apart from others. A couple of things I’m most proud of are staying dedicated despite going through a pandemic and being featured in VoyageATL. Throughout the pandemic, I continued to promote my business no matter the outcome. It wasn’t easy at all starting a catering business during a pandemic, some challenges I had to overcome were the ability to stay calm under pressure, negativity, and fear, but I didn’t let covid-19 stop me. I’ve learned to be more focused and persistent. I am a self-taught Chef that’s been cooking since a young age and being an entrepreneur; there’s always room to learn more. EZ Pours and Plate’s mission is to connect with people worldwide, share my flavors that you will talk and get excited about, and inspire anyone to pursue their passion even if it scares them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hmmm, there are so many places I haven’t tried, but as for attractions go, we would have to visit the High Museum, Toccoa Falls, or Tallulah Falls. For a relaxing breakfast, we would go to Sun in my Belly or Betty’s Breakfast Bar. Everyone loves happy hour, right, and they say it’s five o’clock somewhere, so we would go to Crave for karaoke or Ms. Iceys Kitchen for brunch. As for the nightlife, we would visit Sivas, Sky lounge, or Virtue Rooftop with beautiful views of Midtown. Some more places to check out would be, Breakfast at Barney’s, Chops, BQE, Mirza Lounge, or impulse Lounge, to name a few.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! Let me start by saying, My business name originally was EZ Pours, but thanks to Dominique for suggesting that I add “and Plates,” two years later, we are EZ Pours and Plates. In the forefront, the late nights and early mornings, My team and I went through to make sure everything was perfect and advised me on creating different menus to suit each occasion; I have no idea what I would have done without them. They didn’t have to offer to help but did, which says so much about them—stepping in when I need them the most means a lot to me. I would also like to thank my Uncle for the great advice and guidance for my business. I’m so grateful for his insights. Having the overall support from friends and family goes a long way, and I appreciate them all.
