We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica & Angelika Geter & Andrews and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica & Angelika, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The success of our brand derives from taking a person’s event and making it into a unforgettable memory. We are determined, creative and always willing to go the extra mile for our client. Every moment count and we don’t take moments for granted. We take each event personal and we love our clients.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Angelika Marie Andrews is our balloon artist.As a balloon artist, Angelika started off creating balloon structures for her son’s basketball banquets. The amazement in the children’s eyes made her feel good about her skill. So she continued doing them and then others started asking her to render service.

Erica Nicole Geter would customize friends and family homes for Christmas by decorating trees and customizing reefs/ garlands. Then it moved to small get togethers.

The biggest lesson that we are learning is that doing right by our clients is always the route to go. The event industry is always changing. Prices fluctuate, supply and demand are always changing. However, we are truly passionate about what we do. We believe that the event experience we give to our clients is long lasting. This is not taken lightly. Our quality of work will stay the course of excellence regardless of outside circumstances.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
(Laughing out loud)

Angelika and her best friend would enjoy a dine in experience and some drinks at a nice lounge like the Red lounge in Duluth. At some point she would go shoot some pool at her favorite pool spot where everyone knows her name.

Erica and her best friend would enjoy some live music or festival with a nice bottle of wine. They would then try a new food experience at some point.

We are both actually really laid back and so are our friends. Lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Well first and foremost we honor God for trusting us with this vision. We recognize our Pastor, Pastor Jeremy Tuck of Living Faith Tabernacle in Forest Park for helping us activate our faith in entrepreneurship.

We are most grateful for our team, Donald and Tangela Dixon whose creative ideas and startegic planning help keep our company moving as a force. We are so greatful to the both of them for their endless sacrifice, belief and time that they invest into the company.

Our mother Sabra Simon is also apart of our team. She is our lighting and effects personnel. She is also the perfectionist that matches our energy. Our mom is truly one of our biggest supporters. She is at every event working along side of us.
