We had the good fortune of connecting with Emeral Eden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emeral, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Exploring new depths can be frightening at first. No similarities to past events to make connections.

No guidebook.

So we often rely on validations from others to move forward.
“Do this, don’t do this”.

It is easy to drown out our own creativity when we are constantly giving the voices of others more power. We reclaim our voice back when we begin to trust in our own magic.

When we let go of the notion that it is not “crazy” to believe that we are more than capable of achieving our wildest dreams. When we realize the idea of being successful without all the knowledge and tools is not so far-fetched afterall. All you have to do is believe in yourself.

Two years ago, I never picked up a makeup brush.

One year ago, the last time I painted was in preschool.

I took a risk to invest in myself to create art with no prior knowledge of training.

All I had was a vision and voice to share.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Emeral Eden’s art is created with the intention to remind you to look no further, the magic you seek already resides inside your Uni(one)Ver(true)Se(self). Most notable are the esoteric & metaphysical pieces.

With the combination of otherworldly symbolism and multiple textures and mediums playing off each other (such as clay, resin, enamel etc), each piece gives the viewer two different experiences.

One through sight and one through touch.

Funny enough, two years ago, I never held a makeup brush.

One year ago, the last time I painted was in preschool.

I didn’t even know how to draw.

All I had was a voice and a vision.

I made the concious choice to believe that was enough. That I was enough.
I believed even though I had no prior experience, no job etc.

My partner kindly funded my initial art supplies. The rest was history. I began painting like I been doing this all along. I didn’t compare myself to others or beat myself up on what I could improve on. I just let it flow.

As a result I sold my first piece in my first year. I have now begun to expand in makeup as well. I am now offering airbrushing and full body transformations. If there is one thing that I have learned, it is there is nothing that you can’t learn. There is nothing you cant do. All you need is unwavering determination and belief. Doubt is a dream killer. You must speak life into yourself and goals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the outdoors! My current parks/nature reserve favorites are Constitution Lakes, Amicalola falls, Blue Ridge Mountains and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA!) I’m currently looking forward to visiting Cloud Mountain soon.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
With humble gratitude I recognize my amazing partner of eight years and my five year old fur baby. How blessed am I to wake up to a loving and supportive family. In addition, I am grateful for all the beautiful reflections who I have inspired by my work/words and those that continue to inspure me everyday.
