We had the good fortune of connecting with Elliott Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elliott, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I’m thankful to have worked hard over the years to develop consistent habits that I believe help make sure I stay focused throughout the day and month. I try to wake up early every morning and meditate and exercise. I also believe in having a solid schedule and calendar for what goals and tasks you have going on in work and personal life. Meditation helps give me the headspace to think about things clearer throughout the day and more objectively. Exercise gives me the energy and health to perform the tasks on my schedule and in my life, and then the schedule helps me stay focused and efficient.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fire Maker Brewing in Westmidtown Atlanta is my business, but it is so much more than that. It’s a long-term dream that was supported by friends and family over many years. My entire career has been in the alcohol industry since my days in college and all the way up to now. After college, I homebrewed on weekends and worked for an alcohol distributor by day. After years of doing that, I made the jump to the craft beer side of the industry and then eventually opened Fire Maker in March of 2020. With Covid and lockdowns just appearing as we opened the next year was difficult, but with the help of my dedicated team, encouragement and support from my family, we preserved and have fortunately thrived. I’ve been a craft brewery fan for a long time and my wife and I have traveled to many of them around the world. Throughout probably the hundreds of breweries we’ve been to the ones that always stuck out in my memory were the ones that made you feel at home. Whether it was the customer service, the decor, or just the general vibe; breweries that strive to make you feel welcomed are my favorites and that is what Fire Maker strives to do.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family, friends, and the Fire Maker team. Without a doubt, none of the success we have seen would be possible without the influence, support, and dedication of all of them. I’m forever thankful for the encouragement and help from the people I’m fortunate to have around me. Big shoutout to all of them!
