We had the good fortune of connecting with Elin-Margareta Nordin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elin-Margareta, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
I follow the words “If you want something done than you better you it yourself because nobody will do it for you.”. I worked very hard to get to where I’m and it has given me success. That decision got me to understand the business and also take risk.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love being an actress, creating film, telling stories on my podcast, and having fun doing my passion and love. It is not an easy business, long days,and sadly, it has taken me away from family and friends, but I get to see and do awesome things, work with amazing people. I’m always excited to film,do theatre, and create. When I was asked to model clothes for different designers from my own home I jumped on it because I get the clothes tell a story and designers are just wonderful. My story started when I joined my high school and was standing in front of a professional camera for the first time, I was 15 and the school had connections, great teachers and their own tv channel. My brand, I do not know if I really have one brand but I work in a lot of horror and silent movies. My lessons has been that if you join this work it a busy busy business and very small. Be respectful and work hard, there is many people who wants the success but not work for but expects others to hand it to them. Another lesson is that it is ok to go back to school or do acting course, it will help you give a little bit of love to your craft.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Haha, ahh I’m not good with this, really. I did walk past a neighbourhood bar and told one of my friends. We went and had a good time, it is a really small bar but fun. Best advice is to walk outside, take a walk, something always shows up.
