Meet Elijah Johnson | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elijah Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elijah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was quiet easy actually, I come from a long line of entrepreneurs and business owners. I saw my dad build his clothing business from the ground up which truly inspired me to start my own clothing brand called Gifted Apparel. My father has coached me along the way with my brand, he has showed me how to print and press my own clothing as well.
 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m a very hard worker for my age of 16 and God has blessed me with many gifts which some had to go to school and learn how to do, I can just pick up something and start mastering it. I got where I am today by faith and hard work. I would say for the most part it was easy the main challenge was to find the right material for the vision of what I would want a particular piece of clothing to look like. I’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons but the Main one is don’t give up. I would like the world to know that we will have clothing to fit everyone’s walk of life and we are more than just clothing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came in to town we would go eat at the house if pizza and hangout at the YMCA and play basketball or hang out and play my PS5. The most exciting places to check out are places where we can play video games and check out latest fashion and shoes

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank God for number one of giving me the gifts that he has given me, secondly I would like to thank my parents for supporting my dreams and always telling me I can make it if I just believe and keep working hard, thirdly I would like to thank my pastor he has taught me a lot of things and last but not least my supporters the ones that has purchased,liked and shared my brand.
