Meet Elijah Bell | Gospel Artist & Director of Music

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elijah Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elijah, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I hail from the quaint town of Toomersville, GA, raised in a spiritual home by my parents, Jacquelin and Elijah Bell Sr. They instilled in me the importance of placing God first, embracing values, morals, and fostering strong work ethics.
As a second-generation Director of Music, my late father, Elijah Bell Sr., introduced me to the world of music, leaving an indelible mark on my life. This upbringing has profoundly influenced how I navigate relationships, emphasizing love and forgiveness. Through dedication and hard work, I’ve had the privilege of traveling across the nation.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I embarked on my musical journey at the tender age of 5, joining the choir. By 9, I directed my first choir, and at 15, I took on my first solo. Despite initial shyness, my church community pushed me to step into the spotlight.
What distinguishes me is my unique fashion choices, consistent approach to music, and my unwavering commitment – when I’m in, I’m “ALL IN.”
The most thrilling aspect is witnessing how my gift impacts lives weekly as I serve in ministry.
My journey involved staying faithful to my calling, remaining true to myself, and navigating insecurities. It wasn’t easy, but I realized it’s a marathon, not a race. I focused on continuous improvement, building, and strategizing to be prepared when the time comes.
My ultimate goal is to make a positive difference in my community and, ultimately, the world through the transformative power of music.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I’d introduce them to the “GANG”‼️🤞🏾 my amazing friends and then get in the streets.lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to express gratitude to my mom, Jackie Bell, and my sibling for unwavering support in both good times and bad.
Special thanks to my incredible friends who always have my back, hold me accountable and provides constant Mentorship.
To my Pastor, First Lady, and the Beulahland Church Family (Carlos & Letitia Kelly), your spiritual guidance, love, and support mean the world to me.
And a heartfelt thank you to my son, Jayce K. Bell, for teaching me how to be a great father, a better person, and for your unconditional love.
