We had the good fortune of connecting with Elianna Samuels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elianna, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I am a believer in setting a new tone for the next generation; specifically, the one I will bring into the world. When I chose to become a Realtor it was a step toward doing something bigger than me. It is two fold for me. On one hand, I am positioned to educate our community on wealth building. Wealth itself is not something achieved only for the present, it is a continuous build and with a true understanding of real estate, one is truly educated on one of the means to allow their money to continue to work for them beyond their years and into the future touching their future generation. The other side is personal. I do not do anything that is not fulfilling nor purpose filled. With me being a First Time Home Buyer Specialist, I get to help others achieve a milestone. Some of which are the first ones in their family to do so. What better feeling than to be part of both the work in educating and the result of achieving a goal.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are all given choices right? I am ecstatic that I have been equipped with going after everything I have set out to do. Whether they were successes or not, I took the steps I needed to and I will be able to look back at life and be happy that at minimum I tried. every successful person has a story of where they failed along the way and it is on the journey of some of those failures we really find our purpose and real estate is something that always set it’s place on my desires but I tried so many other things before going after my certification. My lesson in that is the things/people/places that are truly for you will never leave. They will continue to find their way back on your path and at the forefront of your brain. My advice would be to stop, listen, research, educate yourself, take action. Whats for you will never leave you. Don’t dismiss your purpose that is trying to make it’s way to you. There is such thing as blocking or pro-longing your blessing. I plan to continue to put the work in and educate myself on how to be the best Realtor® I can be for my clients as I am well aware buying a home is one of the most expensive purchases they will make in their life. I am here to have their back through every step of the process and see through to the closing table and beyond.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a tough question, I have been to several places but I would say at the drop of a dime, I am taking my best friend to my hometown, Toronto. Now, I have to say we are not much of itinerary people. Work is planned with scheduled meetings, conference calls, follow ups, dinners, and more meetings, so when vacation comes around, the less that is planned, the better. However, that does not mean a good time is not on the books.
We are including massages, unlimited mimosas, brunch, Harbor Front, Caribana (Best Caribbean festival – I am Jamaican), Shopping at The Eaton Centre, walking Dundas Square (smaller version of Times Square), and getting a taste of the most authentic cuisine from any and every nationality there is! Toronto is the biggest melting pot Ive ever been to.

We love to live in the moment and while we are aware of the best and most fun things to do in a particular city/country, we don’t make commitments to anything. It works for us and believe it or not, we have the best times in the unplanned moments resulting in the best memories.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
As Cliché as this might be, I have to thank the backbone to my growth and the foundation placed for me to be the woman I am. I was able to witness ambition, overcoming of incredible obstacles, thriving through Nos, surviving through turmoil all the while still being gentle and a God filled spirit. Who deserves credit? This would be my mom. While her story isn’t ideal, it helped to shape mine and I am proud of her. It is a blessing to have a mom who turned nothing into something, who ran towards situations most would run from, and who never carries her past weight on her present grace. My mom is the reason I know God and she is the reason I can be selected to even be the one to be telling you my story right now because she’s the reason I have never given and gone after every goal and desire of my heart. My today is because of her yesterdays and I am grateful to her.
