We had the good fortune of connecting with Einat Shinar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Einat, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is that I am not just a coach; I have been my ideal client. I have experienced exactly what she is going through, so I can completely understand her. Coming from the same place of pain, frustration, and disbelief that I, too, could make it happen for myself has been an incredible way to immediately connect with my clients.
Many nutrition and health coaches get certified, and while they may be excellent at what they do, if they haven’t faced the same challenges and obstacles as their ideal client, they can’t provide the same level of support as someone who has been there and truly gets them.
In my initial interview with each potential client, I ask many questions to dig deep and uncover not only their goals but also their deepest why. Once I connect with them and see they are truly open to change and all that it entails, I share my story and how I developed my program.
I feel like this is truly an important piece of the success of my business.
What sets you apart from others?
My background as a teacher of 27 years sets me apart from other coaches. I bring my skills as an educator and the tools I’ve acquired teaching K-12 and adults over two decades to my coaching practice, providing a comprehensive and enriching experience for my clients.
What are you most proud or excited about?
I am most excited about integrating holistic tools such as EFT tapping and Reiki into my practice daily. This holistic toolkit allows me to customize every session to meet my clients’ needs at that very moment. EFT tapping, in particular, has proven to be an incredible tool for clients experiencing anxiety, cravings, emotional eating, and even stress-relief for those dealing with chronic diseases such as cancer.
How you got to where you are today business-wise and was it easy?
I started coaching while owning an after-school language program, after going through my own physical transformation. Building my coaching business on the side took a lot of work and energy, including taking classes while working full time and being a solopreneur in my first business. Dedication, self-belief, and witnessing my clients’ transformations provided the fuel that kept me going.
How did you overcome challenges?
There were times I almost broke down when the workload felt overwhelming. However, I persevered, worked longer hours, took extra classes that helped me transition to working remotely, and never gave up. The support from my business coach, Christie Miller, and my husband’s belief in me and the space he provided were crucial. Managing my time while running two businesses as a perfectionist was challenging. I had to sacrifice my social life, had almost no free time, and my family also felt the strain. I reached a point of exhaustion.
When COVID-19 hit, I had to shut down both of my office spaces and transition to working via Zoom. Pivoting from in-person sessions to Zoom was challenging. I had to reinvent myself overnight, but I made it through. Both my businesses continued during the pandemic, and my coaching business took off and became international.
What lessons have you learned along the way?
I learned to continue believing in myself, even when things seemed impossible. I realized that situations that appear to be the end of the world can actually present incredible opportunities. The pandemic opened doors I could never have imagined. In 2022, I retired from teaching and transitioned to full-time Nutrition, Mindset, and Wellness Coaching. I now have clients all over the world and love waking up to transform lives daily. This incredible growth has shown me that perseverance and belief in one’s self are some of the greatest assets in entrepreneurship.
What do you want the world to know about your brand and story?
I am here for one reason: to serve! I wake up excited every morning, knowing that my clients will leave our sessions as different people than when they came in. I see it on their faces and feel it in their body language. I love being the person responsible for their transformation to a better, healthier life. My goal is to support as many women as possible in the transitional phase to menopause, helping them feel and look their best. I want to help them feel better, sleep better, manage their stress levels, and regain the natural energy they used to have.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend visited Atlanta for a week, I’d craft a trip showcasing the city’s vibrant energy, rich history, and exciting neighborhoods. Here’s what it would probably look like.
Day 1:
Morning – Stone Mountain Park
We’d start the day with a hike up Stone Mountain for a panoramic view of the Atlanta skyline.
After the hike, we would enjoy a picnic breakfast you packed with fresh fruits, nuts, and yogurt.
Afternoon – Decatur Square
We would head to Decatur, a charming neighborhood known for its local shops and eateries.
Then have lunch at Cafe Lily, which offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes with healthy and fresh ingredients. I would probably recommend the Cold Mezze Platter.
To end the day we’d explore the beautiful Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and take a long walk by the river.
Day 2:
Morning: We’d start the day with a refreshing walk or jog around Piedmont Park, where we can enjoy the beautiful trails, a lake, and plenty of green space.
Then we’d have lunch at the Park Tavern, which overlooks the park and offers several healthy options. My favorites are the Mushroom Burger and the Buffalo Cauliflower.
Afternoon: We’d head to the nearby Atlanta Botanical Garden for a relaxing stroll through the beautifully curated gardens.
Day 3:
Morning: W’d head to Sandy Springs and start with a refreshing walk on the Greenway (It runs all throughout Atlanta!).
Afternoon: We’d relax with a foot massage at Heavenly Foot Massage in Roswell.
Night: We’d end the day with a fun night of food and dancing at the energetic Eclipse Di Luna.
Day 4:
Morning: We’d take a scenic drive north to explore the local wineries. Sample wines at Frogtown and Montaluche (my personal favorite for its stunning views and Italian-inspired atmosphere).
Afternoon: Shopping: We’d end the day with some good sales at the North Georgia Outlets.
Day 5:
We’d start the day with a historical hike at Kennesaw Mountain. The park has trails of varying difficulty and has several historical markers.
After the hike, we’d enjoy a healthy breakfast at Reveille Cafe in Kennesaw. I would recommend the Breakfast Parfait or the Irish Oatmeal.
In the afternoon we’d head to Atlanta to visit the High Museum of Art. We’d spend the afternoon exploring its impressive collection of classic and contemporary art.
We’d have dinner at Gypsy Kitchen in Buckhead, which offers a menu full of delicious tapas options. My favorite is the Roasted Mushrooms and Chicken Kofta!
Day 6:
Morning: We’d explore the Georgia Aquarium which is a MUST for every nature lover. (The penguin exhibition is my favorite!)
Afternoon: We’d head to the CNN Center for a glimpse into the world of news media and stroll around Centennial Park to get our steps in.
Evening: We’ll do some retail therapy and enjoy a dinner filled with homemade pasta and wine at Bellina Alimentari at Ponce City Market.
* Lastly, we’d catch a live concert under the stars at the iconic Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park. (Hopefully country or rock!)
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Michal Spiegelman is definitely a mentor who believed in me long before I believed in myself. I took Reiki classes with her back in 2017 when I was teaching full-time at my after-school program and coaching clients as a side hustle and passion project. I remember sharing how much I loved seeing my clients feel better and reach out for my assistance, but I was not charging for my services. Michal saw the coach within me that I couldn’t see. She told me that I could turn this into a successful career and that it was clear people were seeking my help. Thanks to her, I went back to school and got double certified in Nutrition Coaching and Health Coaching, later specializing in menopause. It was her encouragement that enabled me to move on from my teaching career of over two decades to my current career, which I loved so much.
