We had the good fortune of connecting with Edwennia Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Edwennia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind going into business for myself is that I wanted little girls to have a place of their own that they could go to get pampered. The feel, the look, all for them! I wanted them to leave with an experience.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business is the first and only stand alone kids spa in my city. It sets me a part from all the other local spas in my area because I’m the only one that caters to kids. Most spas in my area will not even accept kids under the age of 12. I was a stay at home mom with my daughter and she always wanted to go with me to get my nails done when I would go. Some places would service her but she didn’t get the full ambiance as mommy did. The nail techs interaction with her wasn’t very receiving and besides spending quality time with me I didn’t feel she really enjoyed the experience. It was at that moment I realized my calling & wanted to open a spa that catered to kids.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would go to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and drinks along with a night of fun karaoke as well as week full of various pampering activities
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My spa is named after my daughter Trinity who is the inspiration behind my business
