We had the good fortune of connecting with Edward Eliesya J Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edward Eliesya, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business came from my late husband Jermaine Joseph Alston. We had talked about starting a business and when we went to file for new business I had goals of selling my own clothing. We opened Uniforms Plus in Aberdeen NC and inside there was Eliesya J’s Boutique. I started out selling men’s clothes. I quickly learned that females shop way more and for any occasion. I switched. I opened Eliesya J’s storefront in 2011. Started Fashion Designing in 2013. The thought process behind starting my own business was to be Self Employed, owned and operated by myself and no one else. My focus is the Fashion & Entertainment industry. I l specialize in making One-of-a-kind luxurious garments for my customers and clients globally.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Fashion Designer / Stylist by trade. What sets me apart as a Designer is that I create one of a kind pieces that are extraordinary and catered to my specific customers needs and wants. I never reproduce custom orders and if I make a similar piece it’s always different. I got to where I am professionally by simply putting myself out there. I was the opening show Model/ Designer for Nikki Minaj’s first hair dresser Terrance Davidson at The Bad Boyz and Galz of Glam Tour in Fayetteville NC at Crown Coliseum. That was my introduction to the world. This journey definitely has not been easy. Becoming a household name is hard. I learned that being consistent and persistent wins. My Brand Edward Eliesya is a Global Fashion Brand that is forever growing. I am always accepting new clients. https://eliesya69.wixsite.com/mysite is where you can find my fashion.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am new to this area of Georgia and I love going to Spondivits & Nobu for great seafood and atmosphere. For adventure I like to venture to Industry Mixers here in Atlanta because the networking is powerfully explosive and always has good results. For a night out I like East Atlanta at ILounge Atlanta, The Basement, and Club Banshee. T.I.’s Trap City Cafe is a great vibe for entertainment but I do not recommend eating big there. It’s crazy expensive. And the weather here is turning out pretty nice for Spring so the local parks and attractions are great for strolling, hiking, and getting some great exercise in. Kolurful Kreations event venue in Marietta is always hosting a great event so there’s always something to see or do. Amazing event space for any kind of event.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Support for me and my dreams came at an early age from my late Mother Cassandra Vamper. Growing up, my mother encouraged singing , dancing, and performing in stage plays, talents events, dance competitions and the like. She was my biggest supporter along with a few very good friends Sharonda Bethune, Tawanna Hines, Kavon Hill, Deb Dior, Valerie Kenney, Rod Brower, William Martin, Donald Green, Valencia Handy, Dwight Brown, Joe L. Dudley Sr and a few others. My brother and niece Aerianna Carlos & Alexander Carlos has been a big support for me since my mother passed Dec 20th, 2022. My support system spans states and these ppl mean a lot to me.
