We had the good fortune of connecting with Ediana Moncada and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ediana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Coming from a family that has two generations of business owner, inspirated me to continue the legacy. It started when I was younger, my dad always encourage us to pursuit our own business, I started at the age of 13 years old being an entrepreneur. Then, giving the political situation in my home country, I looked for a way to invest in a first world country and I already had this project in Venezuela, so having a market study, we realized that Forsyth was a perfect fit for this project.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Ediana Moncada, and we Manufactured Stone Veneer (faux Stone).  We are dedicated to manufacture and install stone veneer, in order words, we do Labor as well  (Facades, residential/commercial indoor/outdoor, fireplaces, accent wall, etc)  We are located in the Northern part of Georgia. Being passionate about my job sets me apart from others, I have a customer saying that our showroom feels like a mom and pop store because we make sure that our customers are very well taken care of, and also we have high standards in quality control.

Coming from a different culture, language, country and being a single woman in the construction industry doubles the effort of gaining my customers trust, but being consistent, having a great product and delivering on time allowed me to earned my customers respect. Its exciting to be the only Latina owing a Stone Veneer Manufacturing in Georgia!!!

I have learned that trusting in yourself, having faith, and consistency is a key aspect in any business. Also, having the right team, equipment, high quality raw materials, and access to education are needed to have a successful business.

Last year we changed the brand name from Tylest to Ezer Masonry. The name Ezer comes from the Hebrew word Ebenezer that means “Thus far the Lord has helped us” and it was challenging, a step of faith and exciting to have a new begging.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely going to Helen will be the first spot, then driving to Bell Mountain because the view comes from heaven, its romantic and pleasant. Spending a night at a cabin at Blue Ridge will give you a whole new perspective of Georgia.

When it comes to dining, going to the Halcyon is always a good choice, specially going to Eclipse Di Luna, that place is so beautiful, green, the food and the service are amazing!!! Of course if you are by Halcyon, its a must to drive by Avalon.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Its impossible to be where I am without the help of my parents and my sisters- Also, to my business advisor Douglas Del Cid. Being a woman of faith, the one that has given me strength and wisdom is God, He is the one that brought me to this amazing journey that has taken a lot of prayer and support form my church leaders. Last but not least, to my amazing Daughters that she has been with me every step of the way and she is my faithful companionship. Priscilla Grace is the one that inspires me to keep on going!
