We had the good fortune of connecting with Edgardo Salas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edgardo, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking has been a foundational part of my journey as a professional. While it’s important to get educated, evaluate all possible scenarios, and eliminate as much risk as possible, every entrepreneur at some point has taken risks for their business. I believe every success story involves a degree of risk taking at different levels and while the size of the risk does not always equal the size of the reward, typically with high success come high risk. I took a chance at 17 years old and moved away from my family and home to a new country to pursue a dream. While success is a journey and not a destination, as they say, my journey would not have been possible had I not taken that risk. “If you risk nothing, you risk everything”.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My wife and I are soon to open our first chiropractic practice in the city of Dalton, Ga. Inspine Chiropractic and Wellness is a chiropractic clinic that was born as a result of our desire to provide a solution for patients suffering from various conditions, anywhere from auto accident injuries causing acute pain to chronic conditions or repetitive stress causing lingering neck, back and muscle pain. Our mission is to identify and address the root of pain and provide an alternative treatment. It has been a journey full of many emotions, risk taking, difficulties, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are excited and looking forward to providing our community with an excellent level of service while giving back to the community. The biggest lesson so far has been to always bet on yourself and while the risks are inevitable, you will always fall to the level of your discipline.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our favorite spots include any restaurant that has a good view and great food. We love exploring the history of our city so a museum stop is always going to be a must. You can also find me at any local coffee shop.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve been fortunate enough to have so many people and groups be part of my journey and help me get to where I am today. From my family, mom, dad, siblings, to now my wife who is also my business partner and my 1 month old daughter, Camila. As a former baseball player, coaches, teams, programs. At a professional level, mentors, colleagues, and most importantly, my patients who place their trust on me and my ability to provide a high level of service. I truly can say I have been blessed with the opportunity to be around so many great people who’ve helped me along the way.
