Hi Ebony “E- Cupid”, what matters most to you?
Fairness and respect are principles I live by and often times, look for in people that I surround myself with.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been told but also agree with the level of transparency and authenticity I carry. I use my life as content for my business, Close&Personal Intimate Photography. A lot of people limit the word intimate to see but to me it’s the inner me that loved ones see and respond to.

Getting to where I am today was NOT easy. I’m not where I want to be but I’m proud of the outcome of my resilience and ability to start from a seed and see the result of evolution.

My way of overcoming challenges was simply to not give up and adjust my perception. I realized I had to look at things in a perspective of where I’m heading vs, what it looks like.

Lessons that I’ve learned along my journey is self acceptance and self love. From shooting people who we’re beautiful but blinded to their own beauty by trauma caused me to look in the mirror at myself. It’s something about seeing myself in my “blind” clients that opened my eyes to what true self love really is once I looked in the mirror and could relate.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Eat- Esco Memphis or Hen’s house for a small bite with a classy vibe Drink- Freestykr sweet and strong drink at the bar in Central Station
Visit- A candle light concert followed by a visit to good ole Beale street for drinks and a good time.

I’m pretty chill and I prefer small gathering with drinks, cards, games and a whole lot of debates!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout in this moment would have to go to Brandon Douglas. We have been friends for about 17 years . He’s been very supportive in this season and encouraging. When I’m down, I can vent but he doesn’t allow me to forget the race must go forward and he has no problem telling me when I’m sleeping on myself!
