We had the good fortune of connecting with Eboni Gold and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eboni, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
To be honest my thought process was making plus size clothing for women affordable. I’ve told this story before but when I was young my clothing was expensive. Only being able to buy able to buy 4 or 5 outfits for school versus a smaller person being able to buy 10 or 12 . It felt unfair so I decided to do something about it by selling womens clothes and lingerie. Not only are our clothes affordable but they are stylish and sexy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My day job is working my businesses now. I recently was told that I will be laid off from my corporate job in October 2022. My goal now is to focus on J Alan my clothing brand and opening up a store front. I also have other businesses Highvalue auto sales we sale used cars. And My BoSS AppZ which is a mobile application development company. My goal is to work diligently on all 3 . Recently merging my Boss apps with J.Alan with our new mobile application (available for Apple Store and Google play). The J.alan Mobile app has made it convenient for customers to shop but also a great promotion for My BoSS-AppZ.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I always take people visiting me here from out of town to the Martin Luther king center. I have toured the birthhome probably 12 times and would continue to do it. There is so much education and things to learn about Him and his family. Piedmont park to ride scooters Piedmont has some of the most beautiful landscape when you are riding around you can really get a good view. Make sure to get some good eats.. here are a few places I would make sure my quest visits

KIKU Japanese Steakhouse

Nightlife – well I am getting older now so I don’t know the clubs anymore like I used to. But one to mention is the strip club PIN Ups my people run it and I know they take care of their guests.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people that have supported me along this journey and they continue to do so. My Mother Ruby Gold, all of my girlfriends who have flown out from California just to support my event or model. Brandy, Shayla, Andrea, and Lakiesha. Thank you I love you. My sister Tracey Gold for always buying and shopping with us. Thank you Denim for showing me the Pop up game ropes.
