Meet EboneeJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with EboneeJ and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi EboneeJ, what makes you happy? Why?
What truly makes me happy is living out my purpose, which, to me, means making a meaningful, lasting impact on people. I believe each of us has a unique way of doing that, shaped by the talents we’ve been given.
For me, my purpose centers around the power of voice and presence. I fulfill it by hosting events, serving as an emcee, and speaking publicly. Whether it’s energizing a wedding reception, guiding a school program, or engaging a corporate audience, I focus on keeping people captivated and informed.
When I use my voice to uplift, inspire, and connect, it feels like I’m truly living out my purpose and that is profoundly fulfilling.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come. My journey began back in high school hosting pep rallies, senior assemblies, and other school events. From there, I went on to major in Mass Communications with a concentration in Radio and Television.
While in college, I launched my own gospel radio show called “Voices of Faith,” which aired every Sunday across Savannah, Georgia and reached as far as Hilton Head, South Carolina. Just before graduation, I was involved in a serious head-on collision. After earning my degree, I made the decision to pause my career to focus on healing and supporting my family through recovery.
A few years later, I began easing back into speaking and hosting. But it wasn’t until 2018 that I started receiving consistent bookings. Since then, I’ve hosted and emceed a wide range of events. Many of my bookings come through word-of-mouth and from people who’ve seen me live—because you never know who’s in the audience or where your next opportunity might come from.
I got to where I am today through consistency, self-belief, and by taking initiative creating opportunities rather than waiting for them. No, it hasn’t been easy. But I love what I do, and when you love your work, it doesn’t feel like work at all.
When challenges arise, I lean on prayer and fasting, take intentional pauses when needed, and trust that everything will work out for the greater purpose. I’ve learned that rejection is simply God’s redirection and that a setback is a delay, not a denial.
What I want the world to know about my brand is this: I am not an overnight success. It has taken years to get here, and I’m still climbing. I have even bigger dreams and goals ahead. When I show up, I bring energy, professionalism, transparency, and a commitment to over-delivering and exceeding expectations.
EboneeJ doesn’t just entertain she brings substance.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First I would suggest a walk through Centennial Olympic Park, head into the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca‑Cola, and maybe ride the Sky View Ferris wheel for downtown views. Then rent a bike to ride on the the Atlanta Belt Line, especially the Eastside Trail it’s full of art, and it takes you right to Ponce City Market for food, shops, and they have rooftop amusement park.
Summer hill is a hidden gem new restaurants and breweries, plus it’s near Zoo Atlanta. Inman Park / Krog Street Market is another favorite food halls, cute shops, and direct access to the Belt Line. Little Five Points is the artsy, side of town to explore unique boutiques and street vibes.
And if they are up for art or museums, we’d hit the High Museum of Art. Parks like Piedmont Park and the Atlanta Botanical Garden offer chill vibes to enjoy outside on the lawn, and for some outdoor fun or a mini adventure.
That’s the vibe: a blend of the classic must-sees, staple neighborhoods, bites, artsy finds, and chill lawn spaces everything that makes Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a heartfelt shout-out to my entire village they know who they are. Many of them are humble to a fault and don’t seek public recognition, so when I acknowledge them, they often feel uncomfortable. But these individuals have supported me from the very start when only a few attended my events, they were there consistently. Their steady presence over the years means the world to me, and I’m deeply grateful for their support. Truly, support is a verb it’s shown through actions, not just words.
