We had the good fortune of connecting with Eboneè Abby and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eboneè, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve started many businesses but this one was personal. As a black woman in America I wanted to be sure that not only did I create a lane for myself but also one for my only daughter. As the saying goes what do you give a person who has everything? An LLC at a year old!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I created a lipgloss line for my daughter that has transformed into more than I even planned for it. At a year old Mira owns Miras Melanin Magic. It began as just lipgloss it’s grown into lip balm, lipscrub and hair growth oils as well as body butter. We do not only wholesale but we help other baby entrepreneurs start their brands as well. Miras Melanin Magic is all natural appealing to children of all ages but adults as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’ve lived in Atlanta since 1995 and still haven’t seen the whole city. I would plan a day of site seeing in the city of Atlanta. Food is one of my favorite things so I would probably start with something Atlanta is famous for.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family is my backbone and my biggest fans. My husband and my children not only encourage me but push me past my limits.
