We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebehi Osahon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ebehi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought behind starting my own business was why am I working so hard expanding and building someone else’s company when I can be doing it for myself and building my own brand.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am an entrepreneur. I have 2 trucking companies (Kaptivating logistics and BNI Logistics) which I am a partner with Bashier Sims . An event planning company (Kaptivating Events and Promotions LLC) and a financial services company(Purple Dynasty). What sets me apart from others is the vision. We are all here on earth for and with a purpose and once you know what that purpose is then it’s time to work. God blesses us to be a blessing to others and blessings don’t always means money. Knowledge is power more so than money. Knowledge is wealth and that’s my goal with Purple Dynasty. I am beyond excited of what is and what is to come. When it comes to purple dynasty let’s say I had to fight beyond fighting to attain my license but it was well worth it because I know God ordered my steps. Running any business is not easy but waking up every day and making the choice to keep going is what I do because my purpose is bigger than me.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
lol. Fun? Places? Ummmmm what is that again? Working and taking care of my family is my fun. I don’t even go anywhere so I wouldn’t even know where to begin. I live in Atlanta and don’t know places. I travel a lot so I would probably know more about another city than I do Atlanta. Andretti, the parks and fair is where I hang out with my kids when I am not working or out of town.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It’s a villiage community to thank here and that will take a lifetime. lol. My parents, my parents, my parent are my biggest supporters. No matter what I had or didn’t have going on, they always believed in me and always showed up no matter what city or state. So thank you beyond thank you dad and mom. I want to thank my family and friends for their love and constant support. Basheir Sims, my best friend and partner… thank you for the vision, support, encouragement and leadership. Thank you to Jasmine Hatch and Sierra Lofton for your mentorship and Willis and Jeanette Wright for your great leadership.
