Hi Dzondria, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
From an HR professional standpoint, the most important lesson my business/career has taught me is the paramount importance of cultivating a people-centric approach. Regardless of the industry or organization size, people are the heart of any business. Understanding their needs, motivations, and aspirations is key to fostering a positive work culture, enhancing employee engagement, and driving organizational success.

In the realm of real estate, the lesson of prioritizing a people-centric approach is fundamental. Real estate transactions involve not just properties, but also the people who buy, sell, rent, or invest in them. Understanding the needs, preferences, and goals of clients is essential for success in this field. Staying updated with industry trends, embracing change, and leveraging technology to streamline processes are vital for staying competitive and meeting the evolving needs of both my business and most importantly, my clients.

Overall, the most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that prioritizing people and their well-being ultimately leads to business success and sustainable growth. In essence, my career thus far has allowed me to thrive on the ability to understand and connect with people. By prioritizing a people-centric approach, I have come to learn that any professional can build a successful career based on trust, communication, and client satisfaction.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
From humble beginnings in the Mississippi Delta, the path to what once seemed impossible becoming reality has been a remarkable journey. After traversing three states in pursuit of my career, my family and I settled in Georgia in 2018, choosing it as our home. My academic journey began at THEE Jackson State University, where I earned a degree in English and Foreign Language. Seeking further knowledge, I ventured to Morgantown, WV, where I attained a Master’s in Industrial Relations and Human Resources. My journey came with many challenges and trials, but very rewarding for sure.

My professional trajectory has been diverse and enriching. I initially served as a Human Resource Generalist for a Physician’s Group for two years, followed by a fulfilling five-year tenure as a Senior HR Manager for a Fortune 50 company. Subsequently, I embraced the challenge of supporting a startup Mental Health Tech Company, witnessing its evolution into a global entity spanning over 40 countries and supporting 20+ languages.

Despite the breadth of experience garnered in HR, I sensed a calling to explore a lifelong passion: Real Estate, which I’m still extremely excited about to this day. With a solid foundation in human relations and a drive for excellence, I am eager to embark on this new chapter, leveraging my skills and enthusiasm to serve clients in the dynamic world of real estate.

As a Realtor, I want the world to recognize me as a dedicated professional who prioritizes integrity, expertise, and personalized service. My brand has conveyed a commitment to excellence, a deep understanding of the market, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their real estate goals.

In Atlanta, urban culture isn’t just something you experience—it’s something you live and breathe. It’s the rhythm of the city, the pulse of its streets, and the heartbeat of its people. It’s this dynamic blend of history, creativity, and community that makes Atlanta one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world. Here’s what I would consider a fun-filled weekend itinerary in Atlanta. Simple, yet, eventful with a pleasant experience:

Saturday Morning:

Breakfast at Barneys: Start your day with a luxurious breakfast at Barneys, indulging in delicious gourmet dishes and fresh pressed juice.

Beltline Scooter Ride: After breakfast, take a scenic scooter ride along the Beltline, enjoying the vibrant street art, lush greenery, and bustling atmosphere. I love Atl Beltline!

Saturday Afternoon:

Fresh Smoothie Stop: Pause your adventure for a refreshing break at a nearby smoothie shop, where we can recharge with a nutritious and delicious smoothie.

Crawfish Feast at Mama Jane’s Seafood: Head over to Mama Jane’s Seafood for a sumptuous lunch of fresh crawfish with all the trimmings along with some other New Orleans finest delectable seafood options, served in a cozy atmosphere.

Saturday Evening:

Total Wine: Before dinner, make a quick stop at Total Wine to browse their extensive selection of fine wines and spirits, perfect for pairing with your evening meal.

Dinner at STK: Enjoy a sophisticated dinning experience at STK, known for its chic ambiance, innovative cuisine, and handcrafted cocktails. Indulge in mouthwatering steaks, seafood, and decadent desserts.

Sunday Morning/Afternoon:

Super Target Run: Start your day with a shopping spree at Super Target, where you can find everything from vibrant fashion to gourmet groceries and upscale home decor.

Ponce City Market Rooftop: End your weekend on a high note with an evening on the rooftop at Ponce City Market. Take in breathtaking views of the city skyline as you sip cocktails, sample gourmet bites, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Grateful beyond words for the unwavering support of my family, especially my amazing husband (Kenyatta Terry) and my beautiful mom (Deborah Banks) as I embark on this entrepreneurial journey. Their thoughtful encouragement and late-night motivation have been my driving force. Also, my mentor, Kimm Hackett for being so informative and helpful whenever she’s called upon.
