Meet Dylan Armstrong | Intimate Wedding & Elopement Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dylan Armstrong and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dylan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
First off, I have to mention that I’m in this business with my other half, Esteban, who has truly been my rock through it all. We love this question because the idea really sparked one morning over coffee—two creatives dreaming about what life could look like if we truly pursued our passions. Both of us had been creating in one way or another for years, and starting something that was ours felt like the natural next step—a way to capture incredible moments for others in a way that reflected who we are.
Taking the leap wasn’t an overnight decision, though. For the first few months, we juggled other jobs while building our business. But with each passing day, that excitement grew, and it became clear we were ready to go all in. Now, being our own bosses, having the freedom to do what we love every day, and bringing our clients an experience that feels just as personal as it does creative—that’s the best part. We wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Oh, wow, where do I start? Being a photographer is such an incredible gift because it lets us create art that feels truly personal and authentic. What really sets us apart is the energy and ease we bring to every session—whether it’s a couple in front of our lens for the first time or clients we’ve worked with for years. Our priority is making sure people feel totally comfortable and free to be themselves, which makes capturing those genuine, heartfelt moments so much easier.
Of course, getting here wasn’t without its challenges. We’ve had our fair share of obstacles, but each challenge has taught us something valuable about resilience and growth. Learning to roll with the punches has made us even more committed to creating a space where people can relax, laugh, and just enjoy the moment.
Our brand really resonates with couples who want to celebrate their day their way, whether that means a cozy elopement in nature or a wedding with all the quirks that make them unique. We’re both big nerds at heart who love a good laugh, appreciate life’s little moments, and savor every coffee-fueled work session. We’re also reminded daily that life is precious, and we want our clients to feel that their day—and every day—is as special as it can be.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here’s a sample itinerary for a week long visit!
Day 1: Start the week with a relaxed day around Roswell. We’d grab some amazing coffee at a local spot to kick things off, then head over to Roswell Mill for a leisurely hike, enjoying the history and beautiful scenery by the water. Afterward, we’d dive into some delicious Mexican food at a favorite local spot. Evening would be all about chilling at home, catching up, and unwinding.
Day 2: Adventure time! We’d head to Sweetwater Creek State Park, where we’d hike the trails and enjoy the natural beauty of the creek and old ruins. Pack a picnic to enjoy by the water, then head back to Roswell for an evening coffee run and maybe a laid-back night catching a movie or playing board games.
Day 3: For something a little different, we’d venture over to Atlanta. First stop, Little Five Points to explore the eclectic shops, with a must-visit to Junkman’s Daughter for some quirky finds. From there, we’d check out the Fernbank Museum to see some cool exhibits and maybe hit up a brewery nearby for a late afternoon drink. We’d end the day watching the sunset from Jackson St. Bridge, with its beautiful views of the Atlanta skyline.
Day 4: A slower-paced day back in Roswell, with brunch at a local spot and a stroll through any seasonal markets or art shows around town. We’d swing by another coffee shop (because you can never have enough coffee!) and keep the day chill with some downtime at home or exploring other nearby parks.
Day 5: Road trip! We’d head up to Cloudland Canyon for some amazing hiking and breathtaking views. Spend the day out there enjoying nature, and then head back home for a cozy evening in.
Day 6: Back to Atlanta for one more adventure, maybe checking out a live music spot or trying a unique restaurant in the city. We’d spend part of the day visiting some of Atlanta’s historic neighborhoods, soaking up the vibe, and then grab dinner at a place we haven’t tried yet to wrap up the night.
Day 7: For the final day, it’d be all about taking it easy with a breakfast at a favorite spot, a final hike or walk in nature—maybe Preacher’s Rock this time if we’re up for it—and spending the evening relaxing and reflecting on the week.
This trip would be a mix of everything: outdoor adventures, the best local coffee and food, a bit of quirky ATL fun, and plenty of time to just relax and connect.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If there’s anyone who deserves the biggest shoutout in my story, it’s Esteban, my partner in both life and business. From the moment we met, he completely transformed my world for the better. Esteban has been my rock, my inspiration, and my co-creator in every sense. His unwavering support and belief in our vision have been the fuel behind everything we’ve built together.
We each bring our own creative spark to the table, and while we’re all in for capturing intimate weddings and elopements together, we’ve also given each other the freedom to explore our individual niches. It’s this balance of shared dreams and individual passions that makes what we do so fulfilling. Our journey has become more than just a business; it’s a way to create something truly beautiful and meaningful, both for us and for the people we’re so lucky to work with. This dream wouldn’t exist without his heart and passion woven into it every step of the way.
