We had the good fortune of connecting with Drew Xzavier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Drew, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an creative side job, because I needed a stress relief from my actual career. When I first bought my first drone, It was really a hobby that I used as stress relief, however once I started flying my job, I learned that I could take my creative aspect of my life and turn it into a business and that is when XEffectVisuals was born. Flying my drone has become one of the most relaxing stress free parts of my life. Every-time I take off from the ground with the drone, I feel like I enter a new world. The drone provides new unique adventures and altitude that most people do not get to see and because of that I started creating the visual content that people see on my Instagram (@ceoxdrone) so that they can experience the new altitudes from what I see and create with my drone.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a Drone Pilot, I create stunning cinematic content that gives the viewer a different perspective of the world. As a mobile videographer, I create stunning recap reels that visualize and tell a story that lasts a lifetime. I specialize in the creation of Reels, which has become the most important aspect in marketing my business since the world is focused on Reels. Reels have become a part of our culture, and more businesses and corporations are moving to the creation of reels. On Instagram (@_ceoxdrone) I am known for my stunning drone content, that has helped me land some of the best clients and gain some amazing business relationships with multiple city tourist Instagram pages.

I am most proud of my success that I have had, especially with having no background in photography or videography and self-teaching myself how to create stunning content. I am also proud of the brands I have worked with and seeing my content on their pages.

What really sets me apart from other drone pilots, is my planning with clients, from the moment a client gives me the location, I am spending time on Apple Maps, Google Maps and Google Earth, planning out shots that will give the client not only best look but also the most cinematic. I also take the time to research any special FAA waivers or clearances needed for the project ahead of time.

As a mobile videographer, what sets me apart is that I shoot on my iPhone. I can produce 4K quality content on the iPhone and have the ability to show the client 1st hand everything right after it has been captured. While I’m capturing footage, I am building a storyline in my head so that the editing process can go smooth and I can give the client a fast turnaround time on content.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is actually a big city and I am an outdoors person so most of the fun exciting things I like to do are outside.

Going on hike, at one of my favorite parks, Kennesaw Mt. I enjoy walking up Kennesaw Mt. because you can see almost all of the metro Atlanta Area when you reach the top of the Mt. I also like other parks such as, Piedmont Park, and Westside Park.

Another one of my favorite outside things to do is “Scoot the City.” Scoot the City is when you hop on Marta from any station and get off in the city. Find a Lime Scooter and travel around Atlanta on a scooter. I highly recommend it as something to do just for fun so you are not stuck in the dreaded Atlanta Traffic.

When I want to go out for drinks, and just a night out in the town, I love spending that time at the Battery with everything that is located in the Battery it makes for an amazing night out. The best way to top a night out at the Battery is when the Braves are in town. Game Nights at the Battery change everything. One of my favorite memories of Game Night at the Battery is 6 six of the World Series when the Braves won the Ship. That was a night to remember.

When I want to go out to eat just for snacks, I spend my time at the Marietta Square Food Market. So many food options.

When I want to go out to fly my drone, while all of those places are Top Secret.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate this shoutout to my girl, my family and all of my instagram followers, without everyone listed XEffectVisuals and CeoXDrone would not be were it is today. While I put in long work hours on content, seeing the responses from the content is one of the many reasons why I keep going and pushing the limits.

I would also like to thank all of my clients, they intrust me with a vision all the time to create an amazing product that they can use for marketing and I am able to provide them with a product in a timely manner due to this content communication.
